Running into said house after they are attacked is not an exploit. The only exploitation i know of in that particular situation is if they fight back then run into the house and that is a very very well known issue.
Exactly how is this an exploit? I am grinding 1000m from my house, a BH comes up and attacks me. I fight for a few minutes and decide I can't win, so I run. Where should I run to? A starport 3000m away? How is running to my house 1000m away and logging out an exploit?
You can't possibly say that I should just stay there and die. If that is the case, you are going to see lots of screenshots of wuss BHs running from me. I guess they should just stay there and die when I start shredding them with my T21 or FWG5.
I'd like to request that this tired old argument that's been rehashed countless times please stop here. This is a constructive thread, and you are off-topic.
Thank you. ![]()

If something is allowed in the game mechanics and is considered an exploit the more people that know about it the better. If there is wide spread use of exploits that SWG does not want people to use they should fix the damn code or game rather than tell people not to do something. In the meantime, learn to deal with it like every other bounty hunter.
If it is allowed in the game mechanics it should be fair game untill they fix the game mechanics. It is not the Jedi's fault for wanting to stay alive at all costs. I'm going to try every sneaky dirty trick in the book to kill my mark so they should be able to use every shady tactic to stay alive. These "exploits" will only get fixed if they are being used by everyone and it is game breaking stuff. If only a handfull of people know about it the thing will never get fixed, if it even needs to be. Getting a CSR to fix an exploit on the spot is almost worse than the exploit itself because they never seem to be able to agree on what is allowed and what is not. Let the Devs decide what to allow in the game, not some Customer Service Rep with little clue about what is allowed and what is not.

it was a major issue before the CU but now it seems the devs may bestalling on fixing it because jedi now have to gain visibility to grind. I think they would have to adjust the visibility system before they take away the broken mechanic that allows all jedi to never be in danger.
I follow the Jedi Forum very closely, and I failed to notice when this issue got raised, then discussed, then beaten to death, then rehashed. Please direct me to a link/discussion where this was verified an exploit. Or was this just an agreement on the BH forum that they don't like the tactic and it therefore is an exploit?

I am merely stating that this has been argued with no solutions offered, for one thinks it is an exploit, the other does not. It's a neverending, pointless discussion.
BTW, my main is a jedi.
I dida search on "using house Jedi exploit" and there are tons of discussions. I agree that bouncing in and out of a house during combat is unethical and should be stopped, but I can't agree that you should not be able to escape to a safehouse to get away from a BH completely until he/she gives up. I guess I'll let the devs figure this one out.
Interestingly enough, I've run to my house 2 times to get away from a BH that I had been fighting. Both times it let me in. But another time when I was fighting a BH and began to beat him, he ran and just happened to flee right through my city. Since I was there I tried to enter my house and drop off some items, and it wouldn't let me in. That is the only time I've been denied entry to my house Post-CU.
/disagree. Like your herpes, not talking about the problem will not resolve the issue. The only way to get these things fixed is first to make sure you do the /bug as you suggested, but secondto gather the massesand complain about the problem.
Some exploits, like the mulit-passenger vehicle exploit, will not be resolved by doing a /bug. Some consider this exploit to be instead, "as intended", or at worst a lack of foresight by the devs.
So I say, get the issue out in the open and by force of numbers get the issue fixed.
Currently noone can enter their house for five minutes after acquiring a TEF (yes they still exist just invisible now)
If the devs simply increase this to 10-15 minutes I have no problem anymore with jedi/houses, they can still run off to their safe house eventually but it gives me a nice window of opportunity after I make my first move and I can maintain this if I can land another blow.

Wow, you contradicted yourself there. In order for the "sly" tactics to work as you say, then people can't know about them, thus, report them using the proper channels.
However, we all know that SOE has a tendency to underestimate the ingenuity or it's player base. Then they overcompensate when a loophole is found.
Using these "loopholes" is called exploiting, and I, for one, will not risk my account just to use an exploit, when other legitimate methods are more than adequate.

I don't see where I contradicted myself. The morepeople that know about and are using "exploits" like running into a house or shooting people while swimming, the faster we will get a fix from the devs if one is even needed. Some will be considered as unintended and fixed and the others will be ignored and will be accepted as intended. And you can reportsomething youthink is game breakingwithout contacting a csr to come out and fix it on the spot.

1) Do not EVER post how to execute the exploit as Jedi read these boards and will learn and use it on others.
2) Please use the system designed for this. /bug the exploit in game and PM the correct people. When I do this I always get a favorable response.
I personally report every thread and every post I see that reveals the "how to" of exploiting and request they are removed and I ask you all to do the same.
Discussing in detail just enables others to do the same. Please refrain from posting these things for all to see
this should be the norm weather the bug help or hinders any group be it Jedi or Bh or Doctor ... ECT

You sir, are obviously not a programmer. Back to topic please.
