I find myself thinking about template 2 also.. I know a few who have it, well rounded and strong. Its pretty good.

I've had and played both of these....I know what I think is better about both, just wondering what you all think...

They are both great templates. I just changed from template 2 to template 1. They both have pros and cons, so I do not think either is actually better. The reason I changed was to be able to use lessforce. Force armor works great, but Idid not like theforce cost associated with it. Of course now I take abit more damagethan with Force Armor, but am very pleasedwith the change so far.

Just in-caseanyone is interested in thedifference in damage in the above 2 templates. Here is the results of some quick testing I did right before I changed..would have done more detailed testing but as soon as we started the server was about to shut down.

I had a friendof mine hit me with the same attack ( Head hit I thinkit was )

With ForceArmor on: 380 pts damage

With4440 Defender:497 pts damage

Template # 2) MLS, 4-0-0-0 heal, 3-4-0-2 enh, 4-0-4-0 Def

I think. hands down. you'll be the new glass cannon with the other one. the defense line is nowhere nearly as good as the line of enhancer. you might think about

M LS / M DEF, 3000Heal and 2000 or 0002enh as an alternative though. you get a bit more defenses that way. might check out this post.

I think the answere to your question ,on the templete, is dependent on your saber. If you have a very low force cost saber then two is prolly best. If not, do you think you can afford the force cost that you lose with force armor? I have templete one almost (4340 defender)and i still run low on force with a long battle. So my answere to you is how much force can you afford to lose? My defense seems to be good enough...thinking of using that last box for 4002 enhancer...really like the root against those running ranged guys and if they are winning really like to be able to run away faster lol.

why would anyone take 3/0/0/2 enhancer when the obvious choice must be 2/0/0/3 enhancer ? Improved force speed does nothing for the 95% jedi out there already speed capped. Plus force drain is an absolute must AND improved force wave is handy against those ranged kiter BH

defenderxx4x gives you 80 force defense, doesn't that defend against force drain.

thats what force run1 is for

There is no speed cap - only diminishing returns.
I cant comment on Imp. Force Speed / LS since I am not speedcapped with LS (only LS x4xx), but I do know that I was faster as MRifles with an Adrenal boost than I was as MRifles with an equal amount in tapes. I dont believe "+XX combat speed" just adds on your existing "XX speed" modifier, seems more like a percentage reduction in all cooldowns.
I havent done extensive testing, though.
Force Drain is not as useful as Imp. Force Speed in my opinion because it has a long cooldown timer since the nerf and cant be spammed anymore.

No. Force Drain doesnt use accuracy / defense. Force Defense helps against all Force Wielder attacks.

true my comments considering defending against drain are with a 16 FC saber. not the lowest but not bad. So I suppose drain probably affects ppl who are short on force already more than someone who does fine normally with force.

#2 will give you more defense but you lose force when taking hits although it's not too much but it adds up over time. I friend has played both and I know he likes 2 a lot more than 1 and he hasn't lost to a BH in a very long time. Both are good to have but it's more about which one you feel more comfortable with.

force drain hasn't been a must for me. I thought it had gotten nerfed recently anyway.
