Thread: Can someone explain this?
Ive not tried it yet but cant wait to fight someone hit em with concussion shot and start exotic 4 in front of em.
They're not done with us yet. We will be getting more Inspiration buffs which are being designed to enhance non-combat play.

You will find Dancer/TKM very tough. TKM is purely defensive and tanking is broken. With a CL of 55 and a HAM of only 2k, it will be hard staying on your feet, I speak from experience.
If you want to remain a hybrid, Smuggler and Medic x21x work well, Master Smuggler has some nice debuffs in combat (when used properly they can increase the group's damage by 25%) and Medic helps to compensate for your low HAM.
My advice would be to hang on to Dancer for the time being, if you really love it, as we are promised more buffs and who knows, they may be worth the wait.

And when will this be? Publish 22 is coming... no word on this yet.
I would bet we won't see anything till after the holidays. Any takers? Nah... didn't think so.

Last word we heard on this was from Chrysalide and that was that the design document was submitted for these new buffs and coding began on them a little over a month ago. Unfortunately they apparently didn't have anything going on this, as we might have hoped, until well after the CU was launched and in place for a couple of months. However they should be working on it now so it's not surprising that we haven't seen anything happen yet. With a little luck, and assuming that work on it hasn't been interrupted by anything, maybe we will be be hearing something about it within the next few publishes.

Don't compare things to before the CU, its basicly a new game when it comes to combat, just a few names stayed the same.

so there's no more reason to perform in a cantina (except for giving out inspiration buffs)
You don't even need a cantina for that. Any scout camp will do.
PS: welcome back

I was comparing it to the days when I could tank an SBD on my own. If the OP remembers those days then he/she will be disappointed.

I can't agree with you on the Dance/TKM thing. Even though I'm not one anymore, one of my friends is, and she can definitely hold her own for quite some time, in PvE and occational PvP battles (she certainly goes down long after I do), even against CL 80s (I'm not saying she wins, but she usually stands far longer than I would expect and hurts the CL80 far more than they expect too
)
Yes of course a CL 80 Melee Defence stacker (perhaps with 7000-7500 kinetic armor) is still a far better tank than a dancer/tkm hybrid, but its not that bad, especially with a medic keeping her alive.
Once you're grouped with a Level 80 your CL against creatures is regarded as CL80 (for the damage calculation), so she's only really missing the 1k health there (and some additional Melee Defense stats from other profs).
Whats broken about tanks is the fact that tanks (all kind of tanks) have a really hard time of holding aggro if some ranged damage dealer (rifleman for example) knows how to deal damage
Thank you for all of the information guys. You were all really helpful.
I think I'm going to stick with my current professions for a bit, andsee how I feel about it while I get back into the swing of the game and all of the new additions. Perhaps after a bit of experimenting I will know whether or not I would like to respec my character.
Thanks again guys,
Aiyana Rhia'ni
yup I have pretty much this template master dancer master tka, holding agro is totally nerfed when the marksmen get at it. Still, most of the time I can take a lot of damage especially when I am with a good group, and my guild is a darn good group. I also agree with the medic part..good to have a medic.... nice to see I am not the only one ina galaxy with this template
