I agree it is real slow, maybe too slow, but I really do prefer dancing and having fun to killing Bol after Bol after Bol ....

The xp is a bonus when it doesn't feel like a grind.

Are you playing in Theed, which usually has several performers and people actually come in to listen/watch? Just wondering. And I know you don't approve of AFKing...but possibly might you consider doing so in your private home? A little like practicing scales on your own....

If you need another performer to come out and help you with the xp, I'm not doing much this weekend I couldn't happily put off to help out another 'tainer Jedi. Lemme know on either Tarot or Mathom if you'd like me to come out and perform with you to help get the xp higher.

I actually afk'd in my home for 2 days..capped each day..but talk about no fun! And today I hear the group xp is nerfed and I'm wonderin if this is true for ents as well.

Whoever said FS grinding would be fun? It is not intended to be FUN... it is specifically designed to be a TIME SINK. The devs were tired of hearing people complain that only uber-leets could be Jedi (under the old system) so the current system was built to alleviate that -- now anyone can be a Jedi, as long as he or she is willing to sink roughly (at last estimate) 600 hours of game-play time into it.

you'd think I would have been smarter about this and actually decided to do this a year ago.

I used to think that.

Then I spent about 3 weeks going to conferences and doing other trips for work, NOT really playing my FS Jedi larva, and I realized I didn't miss the grind at all. When I returned, I promptly cancelled that 2nd account... and I still don't miss it (5 days and counting).

The worst thing in any MMO is the levelling treadmill. Bleh... I hate it so much. One day they will make one that doesn't have a treadmill and I will be in heaven.

I have to say, so far (to level 10, which is halfway to capping), Guild Wars doesn't seem very treadmilly at all. You get lots of XP for questing, and there really is no need nor even reason to just "grind" on random mobs. Oh you will meet them as you do quests, and fight them... but you are fighting them because you have somewhere to get to and they are in your way, not because you need to kill 1,000 more o them so you can level.

Too bad GW is so shallow... it is fun as far as it goes, but I can't really get into an RPG that doesn't have taverns and socializing places, and GW really doesn't (sorry, intances of city plazas do not count in my book).

Anyway... good luck with your grind. As Han would say, "You're gonna need it."

well after todays XP nerf....I can't see a reason to keep my three accounts open.
