Which is kind of ridiculous to me, since the Force really has nil to do with a lightsaber. It's not as if by physically holding a lightsaber a Jedi gains his power. If that were true, then Luke would not have been able to "use the force" on the Death Star Trench run to hit the mark without the targeting computer active....

But.... hey nothing else follows the movie canon, why should this issue?

this is a joke right?

No, it's not. I think it's a valid point. The lightsaber is the weapon of the Jedi, we can all agree on that. But by not physically holding one in their hand, they shouldn't be limited in their use of powers.

I don't think it's that out of line that it would stack. At one point in my bounty hunting I was a novice smuggler (for the root) and I was able to run a macro that would unequip my weapon, run COB, re-equip it, and run Duelist. They stacked together.... not that it was that good in combat, since you'd be standing still for over 5 seconds while running macros....

The point is, it was possible.

Innate Armor dosen't stack, but everythign else does. That includes melee and ranged defenses, COB, force aura, and possibly force armor(not so sure about this one)
So lets say we just look at a TKM/Mdef. And dont forget if you have any jedi skills, you most likely have Enhanced Reflxes melee and ranged defenses. Lets take a look at this:
Melee Ranged Unarmed
TKM: 85 55 75
MDEF: 235215 None
FS: 20 20 None
Total: 340 29075(dont know if this adds to both ranged and melee defenses)
Now think about this, you have a force aura macro, never ending, that adds an additional 500 to both melee and ranged defenses. Now stack that with COB which you can turn on whenever you want during battle as long as your standing still. This adds an additional 500 to both melee and ranged defenses. Now dont tell me that these 2 do not stack, because I've seen it happen. It is the same as if someone had COB/duelist stance. It is possible. These 2 both stack and add an addtional 1000 to ranged and melee defenses. So this means:
Grand Total: 1340 Melee and 1290 Ranged Defenses. Possibly more if Unarmed defense +75 adds up to both. This total does not include any BE clothing with additional mods. Yeah.
Oh and did i forget to add that additional 100 to force defense? Yup. And now the big question does force armor stack or no?
Cuz that adds another what? Oh heck it dont matter cuz your attacks only do 50-100 at this point anyways.
And just to pimp it out even more this person most likely takes FS: melee accuracy and melee speed, along with the Healing tree, and something else. Hell throw in 4000 Force Healing, Then your badass.
And you wonder why he was standing there with a sword instead of a saber? He totaly blew your mind, and totaly trashed you. This template is uber even tho IA dosen't stack. AND AI pwns. Throw in the macro exploit and your screwed. End of discussion.

After a certain point the ranged/melee defense no longer matters it can only reduce your weapon to its min damage. Also due to diminishing returns 10,000 more defense would prolly only give you 3-5% more misses over a regular Jedi with improved aura running.

As a previous poster said you are very unclear in many ways about your template and his template. I can only guess he was prolly using syntha steak or something to reduce your damage to what you are claiming. One more thing tk innate and jedi innate don't stack period its been tested over and over. Lightsaber you use Jedi innate, any other weapon you use TKM innate, Completely unarmed it uses whichever is the highest.
