that is what i heard from a dev some time ago.


Droideka are in the game, but there are a series of quests you have to complete to get them. IE, you do a quest, get an arm, do a quest, get the sheild generator, do a quest, get the body, do a quest, get the targeting systems, do a quest, get the blueprint. Then you talk to someone and they take all the useless crap and give you a schemetic. I came into the forums to ask if anyone had found the quests yet, apparently no one has.... Crud.

Because apparently SOE thinks that there shouldnt be any good combat droids until they get some sort of cert system in for it...

At first I thought it was sad that there were no combat droids in-game besides the Probe Droids. Then When I was out hunting I found a broken down Droideka. My mouth nearly hit the keyboard. I really do hope you guys can craft these things. Revive the Trade Federation, and besdies, people may need to have these droids to stand a chance agains a Jedi. You never know, heh.

When are we getting Battle droids? this is the only thing stopping us from being a good character. Well atlest IMO it is, I can do everything else but fight, I want a droid that can go head to head with CH pets like the rancor, or other high lvl pets!!!

Low level battle droids (ie combat modules you can put into existing chassis)scheduled for the Januarypublish and more advanced ones in the Febuary publish... that is if we don't get lost in the all important combat rebalancing. Which personnaly I think we are going to get the short end of the stick.


If I can't pull out a Droideka and have a 50/50 chance of taking down a Master CH at the end of the "DE Fixes" then I will drop DE and become a CH because that's the message I'll be getting from SOE. Be a CH to enjoy the high level content or go home.


I here TKA is fun for PvP.. might try that out also. Of course I could always start the Master grind to try to open my FS slot but that's not really the way I wanted to play this game.

I think Droid Engineers should be able to craft some kind of Battle Droids (even though I'm not a Droid Engineer), their only functionwould be combat. I know you can program droids for combat but it would be much cooler if you could have a droid that. Master Droid engineers could craft Super Battle Droids, they are strong so they should cost much recources to build. There would be ordinary Battle Droids as well and maybe even Droidekas.

Ah, a true DE's dream. To build stuff that people actually want and that works bug-free ingame. I think some of the other threads on this forum have really detailed explainations of their proposed Combat Droid.

would be nice but a probot works quite well if used right
