Thread: Bring back the saber TEF
A more exciting option still would be instead of the saber TEF, in the same situations as stated above, an invincible level 1000 NPC Darth Vader would land with an escort and kill the Jedi with Force choke in an instant and talk how anybody that rises up against the Emperor, be it rebel or heretic will suffer the same fate. To rule with fear - that's what the Empire allegedly does after all! Besides, it would allow Vader to fulfill his image of a Jedi killer and make him the menace he should be

In this timeline all Jedi are "criminals" and are to be executed on sight, regardless of faction affilitation. Jedi were tolerable when they lived in fear of having 50 people on up on them for using a power/saber in Theed square. Now... it's ridiculous, there is no immersion anymore.
This will never happen of course, but it was a fun when it WAS instated. Too many issues with it for the public to be able to "handle" such a system.

I said they needed to fix other jedi stuff as well. It MUST be possible for the jedi to escape the city.
Also... the point of this is to get jedi out of the cities and allow them to give us the power we should have.
Please tell me how we are to be restored to power all you nay-sayers. Come up with an idea. Post it on the forums. Provide a viable alternative to those of us attempting to make the game better.

Part of this is getting the jedi out of cities so they are less "visable". The other part is providing a counter to the amount of power a jedi should have in this game. Allow jedi to be 1.5, or 3 or even 5 or 10 time more powerful. Whip out a saber in theed and 10-20 people attack you for being stupid. Wander into a city owned by the opposisite faction and pull your saber on an npc and the whole city can attack you.
Hunt with your guild in the middle of endor or the bottom of the ryatt trail and have a BH show up... whip out your saber and slice them in half... you are where you belong so no TEF.
Of course half of my jedi counter parts find my attitude too severe... for a humorous read you can see where this thread went in the jedi forum.
i came out of the starport on dearic with my uber ch pistoleer. im tabbing around looking for local law doggies to shoot, when i tab to a player. so i check it out, and see he's a jed, and open fire.
2 hits or so and im toast. way cool, lots of fun. and yes, i knew i would get smoked, but i wanted ot see it
give jedi that same power if saber tef is to come back, which is to say;

Glarg, I think you understand my intention. It is to actually make jedi stronger, but force them out of sight at the same time. Make it so that no one or even 5 normal dudes can take a jedi down, BUT, make so everyone who sees a jedi screw off in the wrong place can attack them.... So many that the jedi will flee or die.
A spin-off idea I just had was to allow jedi to attack anyone (this would require the saber/power tef to be in place.) There is nothing in this game todeal with the idiots who ruin other peoples game play or cheat and swindle people. So here are a couple senarios of how this would work.
1. Mr But-head is dueling people in the Mining outpost and db'ing all the noobs and trash talking all the time. Mr Jedi comes along and 2 hit kills Mr But head and sends him cloning. Everyone in the MO cheers and says thanks for killing that jerk. Jedi still makes a mad dash away, but smiles and waves before he goes.
2.MrJedi the Butt kills an artisan in MO cantina to prove hi uber-ness and show off to his friends. The 5 level 80s in the cantina start attacking the jedi and call for the 20 or 30 level 80s outside.... Mr Jedi the Butt takes a little trip to the cloners...
I'm sure there are many holes still, but I would like to see a way for us to police ourselves. This MIGHT be one, might not.

this might not be a bad idea,hell they gave a proffesions of griefers the abilty to police us and thats done nothing but cause hatred,i like your idea
