Thread: XP loss is a nessesity ( this is coming from a LOW LVL PADDY)

I ttoally agree with the OP, xp loss is an essential game dynamic.
Xp loss is the ONLY difficulty facing a grinding Padi. Without it every Bol grinder in the Galaxy will be a full template Jedi 2 weeks after unlocking.
Jedi is devalued enough as it is without opening the floodgates even more. The problem is that every Padi says "Yes Jedi should be special, and yes it should be hard to get AFTER I GOT MINE"
BTW replying to the post that Jedi should be "Pwning" everyone - my reply is "Not while you are a youngling". When you have a full template and reach knight (if the FRS ever comes back), then fine you can be uber if you want, but while you are the game's equivilant of a 5 year old waving a neon tube then you should sux (and to be honest a lot do).
Why do none of the Padis accept that Jedi is a PvP oriented profession until they fill their template? The ones that suck at PvP will take longer to do the grind than the ones that can actuallyplay their profession, that is by design. That is why you lose xp, the game is saying to you "You are not good enough at PvP to advance any further right now, (in fact you sux so we are taking some xp off you)".
And the new wave of "PvE only Jedi", well dont even start me on that one (I will just say to those Jedi - Grind ranger or something you n0000000000bs)
/rant off
Have a nice day
Ohh that little comment pissed me off there. If im not mistaken most rangers have respeced to BH for skill point issues. oh how i wish you where on my server. And btw if im not mistaken who helped the jedi finish their knight trials, and are the best suppliers of pearls on any server atm? granted the latter will change with publish 20. Oh and by the way when i did hunt jedi (found out it was dull) i could last agenst a 200k bounty for more than 10 mins. Don't even think that rangers are incapable of PVP. there is a saying among us, "rangers are your friends... keep it that way or we will be your worst nightmare".
edit:
Im sorry for bashing this guy but i felt it was needed.

I recall the padawan in ROTS owning those clone troopers quite a bit before they finally killed him. Even a new padawan should be more then a match for most master bounty hunters.
As it is even seasoned jedi have trouble taking on hunters, which wouldn't be a problem if becomig a jedi was as simple as any other profession. But the simple fact that it is more difficult then other profs means it should be more rewarding.

Ahem...
I agree with most of your rant, but we don't want your castoffs.
(If you can't hack ranger - Grind jedi or something you n0000000000000bs)
Had to try it on for size to see how it looked.![]()
This would depend on the jedi. If they're not 'one with the Force' etc., they'd lose easily. Not everyone who's gone the way of the Jedi is a force to be reckoned with.

Yes but you are forgetting, as jedi we are supposed to be able to pwn Bounty Hunters, or pretty much anyone else. Since that isn't the case, they need to make things easier on Jedi. It would help alleviate the animosity between the two profs.

Yes but technically there are only padawans in the game at the moment. When they go through knight trials then they become jedi and then we are talking about being more powerful...
Or more accurately as was partially suggested being reset to nothing, if you have -xp it goes up to nothing as the force gives you a little pat on the back.
But then again I am crazy and want the Terminals opened up so anyone can take a mission on them and anyone can put a price on someone elses head.
