I'm still working to max investigation xp so I can train Investigation 1 and 2 at the same time, but on a mission outside Coronet, I got a Nyax Sword off a mark that I dropped. Looked like a standard one-handed sword and mediocre stats, but had a health poison on it. 50 str, 120s duration, don't remember the potency, and 1000 uses. Kinda crap loot but would be neat in the trophy room

Is it just me or has loot decided to take a vacation?
I was fighting my way into a mission, past some Chunkers. I waxed them, did the first wave of torturs, waxed the second wave of chunkers...yada yada yada...
The harvest was good, but I got nothing off the Chunkers but about 100 creds. I then realized I have been getting doo doo off most NPCs for a while, 3 or 4 days anyhow. I take enough missions for NPC (Dralls and Rogue Corsec) to know I have been getting less creds, and no loot, off these clowns.
Anyone else notice this?

well, the imp npcs ive been killing have been dropping good credits, but not much loot lately...come to think of it...the last time i got something besides cr from an npc was about 1 week ago...hmm...

I was told that they are junk but a junk dealer won't even buy them. Should I just destroy them or do they have a use? I haven't looted anything other than credits lately.
Also:
Are there creatures that have loot? If not why is the "loot" option on the radial menu or does it require too much of a code re-write to take it out?

Those items are now useless. They were used in Act II to build a decoder device, but no longer have any function. Destroy them. Honestly, the Devs in charge of content should have removed them..
And yes, some critters have loot. Most do not, but certain types, those listed in the thread NRaas mentions, and probablya few others, do have loot.

Thanks for the info. I guess I can reduce the clutter in my storage shed / house.

Junk dealers don't buy anything at all. And yet you can search for them on the planetary map, oddly enough. It's like finding a brand new shiney fake penny.
You can sometimes look locked containers or other goodies off of humanoid enemies. Those can be worth something from time to time.

To sell something to a junk dealer it should have 'broken' in its title, I could not figure out junk was in the game. Well one day my mk1 psg finally caved after me deciding to actually use it(I got it months ago when I was a new character) well I didn't really want to get a mk1 genertaor repaired so I figured I would see if this counted as junk...well when I went to dealer I did have the option to sell junk but it was the Broken Datapad I had picked up early. I got 8 credits for the datapad wooooooooooooo! I don't know who got stuck worse, me for only getting 8 credits or the dealer for well buying a piece of crap. hehe
