Trying to narrow down the problem here.
Which of these do you do first? I do seek before track
Are you hitting a planet and doing a seek? Yes
Are you hitting a planet and doing a track? Yes

If you do a seek before you track do you get a name? No

If you do a track before seek do you ever get a name? No

I know many BH's are in the habit of doing nothing but tracks because it doesnt cost you a droid.

Either way it goes it doesn't use a seeker droid

Blixtev,

hate to go off topic, but since it has already been done, could you comment on this post, from "lady"Maura, from this thread?

Flawless pearls are intentionally not dropping because they're still trying to decide what to do about the pre-CU ones that are floating around now and escaped the balance passes. Pre-CU flawless pearls are clearly out of balance and just too powerful. I hope they nerf them all soon, because too many Jedi use them as a crutch in PvP. These pearls are like the mind DoTs of pre-CU: overpowered and out-of-balance.

I've only hunted 3 times since.

I landed on planet and did a "Seek" costing me a droid and it returned the name.

I then "tracked" and it went as usual.

It hasworked for me so far.

I get a name EVRY time I use a seeker droid. There's only one catch...

I don't hunt Jedi. Mine are NPC's.

Name every time.

Please, can you take the pearl discussion to the Jedi forum?

The lastfew hunts I used a track-mode seeker first at the Kaadara spynet informant to try to determine on-line status.

On the last one, my track-mode seeker gave back the "not on this planet" message, and my Arakyd told me they were on Lok.

I launched a search-mode seeker when I hit Nym's and got a waypoint but no name. I shuttled into the player city the waypoint targetted and the mark was sitting with friends in front of the shuttlepad. (MDef's... hate 'em. Hate 'em lots.) No track-mode seeker launched on Lok.

1 do a seeker track first, because sometimes I get lucky and target is on same planet and I don't have to use an ack. then I launch an ack, then I go to planet, then I seek, ....... no name......

I noticed experimenting last night that if I launch a seek within appx 2500M of my target I get a name. If I launch outside that disance I get a waypoint.

Doesn't this tell you that perhaps the problem is that there are too many options? Why don't you simplify it all down to one thing?

i've been sending a seeker off right when i get the bio sig to see if target is online. After that I send out the arakyd, go to the planet and then seek usually get nothing, so I track.

Did have luck once after I tracked, I used seek again and got a name of a cloaked jedi nearby.

I'm 2/7 on getting names.

I use the same method:

Launch 2 Seekers in Track mode, then 1 in Seek mode. I launch them all within 4-5 seconds.

I got names on Rori and Tat.

I did not record the distance on Rori. On Tat it was about 100m.

Hope this helps - Good luck.

Blix, please fix the online/not online problem FIRST. 2nd, make it possible to hunt on Kash (as a jedi, the afk macro jedi is absolutely ridiculous). Times have changed, let's hope the BH/Jedi confrontation does too
