I don't know if there will be a "fix" for this as it is somewhat intended by the developers as a method of escape for Jedi.

Intended or not, here is an exerpt from the recent SWG Vault interview with Torres:

SWG Vault: With the addition of Multi-passenger vehicles, Jedi and GCW players are now able to escape combat without any danger to the vehicle or owner of the vehicle. Do you forsee offering rides becoming a "helpful action"?

Julio Torres: We are looking into this mechanic to see if it is actually fun or simply an exploitable implementation that will frustrate players.

I'll go on the record saying this is definitely frustrating.
