Thread: Hunting Jedi Tricks
The sad thing is, I know that you're right.

BH will only ever delay it.. and with the fact devs are protecting them grinding on RotW spawns means it's useless. I'd start grinding yourself Jedi before they make it harder
WiseBobo ain't a good name for a Jedi anyways; I need something intimidating, like Kaiser Wilhelm.

If you don't want Jedi to hide in a house, try picking on a Jedi that can fight back!I love reading the comments from bounty hunters complaining how their "mark" is hiding in a house. We may be your content.. but we DON'T HAVE to fight you. It's not a god given right as a bounty hunter for all jedi to step out of the safe house and fight you.Go pick on somebody who can defend themselves.. Or does this involve preperation and tactics, something you respec n00bs don't seem to have grasped the basics of.
nicely said

So what are you saying here? Which are the missions we shouldnt be taking? Is it the sub 120k missions? i.e. the MRM with FH 4000 and a good chunk of Def? Or is it

I like to keep good faction standing on both sides reb & imp then scout the Jedi..If hes say Reb...Ill go reb slap on my faction armor and track the Jedi down..When i find him..Ill walk up and ask if he has see XxXxX Jedi there here that my driods showed him here and he might be cloaked and that he is a IMP Jedi...After a couple of mins looking theJedi lets his guard down and iturn and drill him in the ass
You would be suprized of how bad you can hurt a Jedi when you really cetch him/her with there pants down...

I typically try to hunt marks that are far enough along to give me a good fight, unfortunately that means I normally lose but at least I did have a good enjoyable fight. I picked up a 169k mission the other day and went out to hunt my mark expecting to find a mostly templated Jedi that can easily hold his ground against a solo BH.
Sadly enough I get out there and in my first shot I take 75% of his health (advanced snipershot). He immediately KD'ed me and ran for his safe house. I rooted him at the door and tried to get a few shots off, luckily he blocked a few key shots and he managed to get into the door of his house. So while he was watching me I lay prone about 50m from his door, and went under cover. I knew he saw me and knew that I was still there. Funny enough he sends me a tell asking me what I'm doing. I told him that I was waiting for him to come out so we could fight lol. He told me that he had other things to do and wanted to know when I was going away. I told him that as soon as he came out we could fight and he could be on his way lol. He said that he didn't want to lose any xp, so I told him that he clearly didn't have anything important to do right now then lol.
He had a few friends drive by me to uncover me and I eventually left my character uncovered. We talked a few more times. He attempted to talk to me again (this is the key here), I had spoken with him every other time he sent me a tell, so this time I said "nothing". He assumed because I said nothing that I had left the keyboard and ventured outside. I waited patiently while he pulled out his speeder (the important thing to note here is that I was 50m away, but have an 80m range allowing him a little distance from the door before I attack). Soon as he got a ways away from the door I popped up and used a 'KD' in order to knock him off his speeder. I was able to fight with him for a bit before he finally made it back into his house. So at this point I walked back up and attacked his speed, clearly this pissed him off a little as he came rushing out of his house to attack me lol. I started to kite and fire away until he turned to head back into his house. At this point I tried to root him but he blocked it and managed to get inside.
He did manage to escape me this night because I simply couldn't keep him out of his house, but at least I got a little bit of a fight out of him. if I could have managed to get a few key shots to land in a row i could have easily beaten him but it just seemed that luck was on his side and he managed to block just the right shots to prevent the incap on at least 3 diff occassions where I had him down to 10% health or less. The point of quoting the above statement here is that about midway through the fight I noticed that my 169k mission was only a lvl 60+. I was trying to figure out how this was possible when I realized that he had taken all tier1 and tier2 skills in order to increase his mission to a point where BH's won't hunt him and he can typically grind in peace. Unfortunately for him a few of us do try to pull missions that are challenging and we discovered his little secret lol. I would still pull his mission again for two reasons, the first being that he is a 169k mission so he's in my target range, he chose to up his payout but as far as I'm concerned he's fair game regardless of what his abilities are. The second reason I would pull his mission again is because in our very first encounter he used the battle field exploit to avoid a confrontation with me, not only did he use the exploit but he did it purposefully with full knowledge that it was an exploit (this gives me absolutely no pitty for taking any XP away from this Jedi, in fact I will put forth more effort to find and pull his missions now for this very reason, and I will spread the word that he is a low lvl paddy in disguise as a 169k mission). I took several screenshots with him clearly sitting inside the battlefield and of our conversation which included his lame ass excuses for knowingly exploiting. The screenshots include (all on one screenshot) the mission wp, the jedi targeted so you can see he is in fact sitting inside the battlefield, my mission on said jedi, and my datapad with wp's up so you can see that it is clearly my mission wp showing and not a faked waypoint (Jedi mission wp's do not show up in your datapad), and of course our conversation was expanded out so you could see it.

the 180-226 missions that have a template way > than any BH template. Or is it the 120-180k missions that should be a good fair fight with balanced templates? By posting like an eBedi it makes me automatically recoil from whatever you are trying to say, but you make no attempt to clarifyor quantify your sweeping statements anyway. Smack talking and generalising the way you do without actually saying anythingjust exposes your intellect to the world and highlights why there is so much animosity between our two professions.
If I take a mission for say 160k, how do I know whether that mark is an accomplished PvPer with a balanced template or a PvE powergrinder who respecced Powers after watching EP3? I have no way of knowing that until combat starts, but according to you I am just a respec n00b with no grasp of preperation or tactics if it turns out to be the latter.
Or is your only point here that BH should only fight FT's and accept that we will lose most of the time, and leave everyone else to grind in peace until they are 226k on the terms?
If so then my first guess is probably right.
