You would think a jedi turned BH would have an edge because they know how jedi work and think but I've found it to be the opposite. I know many long time jedi that have switched to hunting jedi for the content and they cannot do it.

I think it's simply a different school of thought. You are not trying to overpower another opponent you are trying to control the fight. You are trying to put the other person in that cycle of healng and using up their force. Most of my fights are won by running out either the mind or the force, I rarely do a jedi in as simply as reducing their health to zero. One thing I do is I hit them really fast at first and let them use up their action hitting me with what would normally kill a non-jedi in their eyes while I hold back hittingthem with just enough damage tomake themkeep healing. With all their energy going to trying to kill me while healing I strike back at full strength.

You are fighting an opponent that is superior to you in almost everyway except for healing. They usually take less damage (as most of them are defenders), inflict more damage more quickly and they have higher defense.

The musts in my opinion are the following without getting into the foods

7500+ energy armor (75% AB sliced),2 weapons both sac capped and both damage capped (or close) sliced for critical hit. One weapon usinga 29% SAC pup and the other using a +34% damage powerup. When you first hit use the high damage one, then when you are getting them to wear out use the low SAC one, then back to the high damage.

This is for the MBH Mpistol (or Mrifle/Mcarbines) 4000cm templates....not necessary for the MCM template which I think is overrated. Yeah it can drop some jedi but I think it's a limited template. Much of the time I see these guys get owned while trying to apply all their debuffs etc.

I am going to give you some specific MCM advice then you can read my general advice (read it all), also forwhat weapon to uselook at my scatter in my forum sig(no power up added) and study the numbers (get one like that).

Specific MBH MCM advice (get pistols 1xx3 as well):

Get buffs form a doc before hunting. Take Muon Gold and Ahirisa cake (for mind), also ruby beil and vassarian brandy, citros, air cake, and last but not least duetorium pyro (pop the pyro every third time you hear the duelist macro alarm below). You can add a few more foods to your liking. (I prefer Muon Over Booster Blue before anyone wonders).

Start the attack and use KD, Toros, Adv Crit, then paralyze and lay states as the Jedi rises, Fire first ,then poison, you can get both in before he moves, then use stopping shot , get it for your temp if you don't have it, back away and alternate between torso and adv crit. Keep your fire and poison dots up and laythyroid ruptureto slow them down andTraumatize for mind debuff . Now heal, KD recovery and use variations of the stuff above and you'll win more than you think. You can also get creative and cause disease, lay some more debuffs, the gold and ahirsa should really keep your mind up and that is the key, forget running him out of force, run him out of mind (check the last pic in my sig and look at the Jedi's mind and look at my mind, I never stopped laying states and healing the whole time and I am almost full with the foods and buffs, it was about a 10 minute fight)

Now before you do what i just showed you read below:

I do not fight like I advise anymore (I can now run up to a Jedi and just start blazing away with success) but that has come with getting more experience, what I recommend here is what you should do for the first 10 kills or so, then you can start to develop your own style and tactics....

1. only attack if you have achieved complete and utter surprise.(meaning you can frontload a alot of damage). This will guarantee the jedi to be in a defensive position after the the first strike. You have forced him to think of only two things at this point, running or healing first AND then coming after you. .

2. Only engage if the Jedi, in addition to being completely surprised, is not buffed or his force is down, or he is engaed by MOBS or creatures. Even if you achieve utter surprise like #1 above but the jedi is not in a tough spot (in other words he is buffed and not distracted or engaged by other PvE activities) you can still lose dramatically even if you cause massive damage before reaction, so DON'T engage and follow this rule.

If you follow these two rules and drop the mission whenever you can not engage with these parameters, you will achieve success . There is nothing wrong in doing this. This is the BH way and Jedi's are 1.5 stronger for this reason.

3. Learn about foods and how they best compliment your personal template, seek out high energy resit armor, slice it for Armor break if possible. Find a good weapon with high damage that you can slice for speed. Add a power up to the weapon to let it produce even more damage (so cap damage with weaponsmith and Power up, slice speed).

4. Add a duelist macro (this is very important as it adds 250+ defense) this will help alot as well :

/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist

Be sure to use the following for deathblow so that the macro does not interfere:

/dump
/deathblow

yes.

If thats the case whats so great about it. To be honest, when im playing on my jedi, and a bh comes to paralyze me at the onset, I usually take that chance to run to the bathroom to take a lead real quick lol. Ive never found that paralyze offered the bh any real advantage against me at all.

i hate to break it to you but if you don't understand the purpose of paralyze there is no way in hell that you're anywhere near a decent pvper. i would suggest you stick to the pve, apparently you're not too shabby at that.

This guy is a top pvper on our server...he's just a noob bher...jk taurel. Instead of flaming how about offering some help.

haha, actually bh was the very first profession I mastered in SWG with Thelar. I did it before pet mounts and cities, what a pain, took me like 2 months. I held on to it for quite a while and pvpd with it, but that was long ago in a different age when jedi werent in game yet.
