lol, Jedi get 250 SP like everyone else, the 230SP for Knight trials includes the 24 points for FS skills- so only 206 SP into actual Jedi skills are required, but that was also the old system. There were more than a few hybrid templates pre-CU that got to Knight but kept novice brawler for intimidate and warcry.

No flashy sig here, move along.... move along.

not lies at all, if you kept up with the patch notes, you would see that there will be no ability to use ANY force powers while weilding any weapon other than a saber.....so not only can you wear no armor, but you can't hold a gun while using the force....now....if you can't wield a gun, you can't use the bh specials, if you can't wear the armor, you have no armor break resistance....so my question is....why would anyone want to be a hybrid once this happens....is it really worth 115 pts to take BH missions when you can't make use of anything in the BH skill tree? keep in mind you will have to spend another 24 pts on FS for a total of 139 sp wasted, leaving you with 111 pts for Jedi skills.

BH/Jedi hybrid is most certainly dead in the near future....but go ahead and waste your time if you want.

A single mastery in any jedi profession, especially master powers, will never give you enough force to compete. You may do well with that combo against padawans, but not knights. And there is no way you could ever attain Jedi Master with Master powers/MBH, because you would be going against full template/dual mastery/FOTM jedi. You'd never have enough Force power with just MP because the force specials drain too quick, there's no way you'd ever be able to attain any rank in the FRS.

I would just see that template you're looking at as a fun roleplaying combo of professions, nothing else.

i think thats what I am mostly gonna use it for, since the duel exploit became popular, sneaking up to jedi is hard, so I am just gonna cloak and get close to them, uncloak and use armor and weapon macro and get them when they are completly unprepaired. Just need 1 more village phase to go.

Agreed. You might as well have something to do with all those FS skills you've unlocked. I see no reason not to try it out. If you don't like it, there's nothing stopping you from grinding the rest of your jedi template out later. Don't listen to all these nay sayers, it seems like a good portion are jedi with their "if you're not ub3r why do it" mentality.

I think a lot of them are missing the point anyway. After all, who said anything about worrying about FRS ranking? We're discussing MBH with some jedi in their template, not Jedi with MBH as part of their template. The difference being that the focus for these hybrid templates is hunting jedi, not being a jedi.

most jedi are elitests who care about pvp rating only. Above all, in swg I like to be different, and entertaining to people i meet. True, you can be different by being uber at pvp, but most players are trying for that, so i know i wont be the first bh/jedi, i still like walking off the beaten path

MBH, Defender 4/4/0/0, Powers 0/4/0/0, Medic 0/0/4/0

All Jedi skills except Cloak are passive (no armor/weapon restrictions), 1975 force pool, decent healing. You would only need to wear no armor/wield a LS to/while cloak/ed. Once your ready to strike -armor up/equip gun, decloak and attack.

im a bh with 24 fs skills to have a second character. I am still very effective. The jedi had no appeal to me cause the dont belong in this game at this time period.

Many great and thoughtfull ideas here....I thank-you all for the insights and improving my ability.....You know what I like best tho.....just eough jedi skill to cloak.......follow him.....uncloak and equip everything and let him have it. I will dump everything else where I see fit in normal profs. That was brilliant....spoken like a true Klingon my friend. lol.....just hope I would have enough skill points to do that idea and where is my question.....thank-you all for many sleepless nights pondering it

Well Asada.....easy way to make some big bucks......my two houses are loaded with loot armor crafting pieces of all types from early npc BH runs.... some are really good....7stacks of 6500 across the boardbattle armor( not bad for a starting armor buiz) If I want my alt to sit in a house and craft all day I wlll,,,,,but actually considering a second payed account to have 3 char's if I do that.......still didnt answer my question if a B/H-jedi has any potential in PK and would sound like fun.

In theory, a BH/Jedi hybrid works. But in practice, you'll find that your force pool is too low to keep up the fight, and thus you'll be weak vs both normals and Jedi.

But your alt doesn't have to sit in a house and craft all day... that's what you have factories for.

up and coming patches hybrids wont work as onlya sabre can be equiped to use any force powers so u couldnt heal/cloak force run or anything with armour or a pistol equiped
