Not by a long shot?... I must disagree.
With the stealth upgrades, I think it is very possible for a Bounty Hunter to follow very close and to remain undetected for a couple of days. At some point during that time, the mark will get low on force, health or even become incapped. That is when you move in quick to finish the dog off. I think this could be very good temp.
But then again, there are no bad temps...only bad players.
This is where the RP will come in. True BH would not go in Texas cowboy style with their gun blazing. They would track and watch for the best time to take there mark. As it is right now Jedi see the BH coming. When the new ranger comes out they will not know when they are taking on creatures or npc's if some BH is going to suddenly pop out of cloak and take them down. This will give the Jedi the fear they should already have.

I didn't know how many people were MBH/Ranger. It's surprising! 
But the only reason I say this is because you can't go 1v1 on the Jedi. You will not have as many healing options or as many combat options. I guess, as pointed out, that the tracking could work very well to your advantage. Unfortunately, there is no way of "sneaking" in very well in the current system.

Yeah.. you basically shoot and pray. It's too hard to heal yourself most of the time, but I have SL rather than medic for the added accuracy (otherwise I always miss).

MBH/Master Ranger/ Medic 0010 with +25 healing eff would be just fine (heals would be around 900).
