Thread: DEVS: Boss marks drops either junk smuggler components or jar of bugs

Boss marks drops either junk smuggler components or jar of bugs. Where is the fun in that? Where is our worthwhile rewards for killing boss marks? There is a slim chance of getting a boss mark already and if they finally show up they will drop nothing but junk. What's good about hunting a boss mark? And we are supposed to have fun as you promised?
Any loot hunting requires patience and luck. Not every mark will have something awesome, I would actually hate it if it did. It would be too easy.
If you make every mark drop good stuff, this would happen:
Everyone would have BH armor.
Everyone would have +25 mods on everything.
Everyone would have ridiculous weapons made with the new weapon components.
The uber loot would be worth much less on the market.
It would be boring, no excitement, no "man I hope this guy has something good".
Quit whining. "Fun" is subjective. I have fun doing BH missions even when there's no great loot in it at the end.
I'm sorry, but if you guys are having trouble killing boss marks, you just plain either have crappy equipment or just can't play the game. They aren't hard. Sure, they aren't as easy as the stuff you did your 2 day template grind on, but they are NOT hard. I don't even bother using anything but blob candy and maybe citros snow cake to fight those. I don't bother with doc buffs either.
If you want to try something I think is hard, go fight those level 88 black sun guys solo. The people complaining about boss marks being hard wouldn't last 10 seconds against one of those guys, and they aren't even the toughest thing in the game. Boss marks aren't hard enough in my opinion.

I would really just be curious to the numbers behind the randomness...
For example....
what % chance do you have to pull a boss mark?
what % chance do you have to loot a 'above average' item from that boss mark?
Particularly the second % would be interesting to know versus a nonboss mark....
Of course... it would also be nice to know what the devs feel is an 'above average' item...
My only fear is that the % of the 'above average' drop is the same for boss marks as it is for NPCs... Which if so makes boss marks useless.
Again I am not complaining or whining just curious....

If you think they are, try grinding t master smuggler and sit outside the starport in Kaarada for a while. And foraged bugs are delicious--you can find bugs anywhere throughout the galaxy, but our marks carry their own jars for these specific bugs.
They are not junk per se... but if I cant use it... or I cant sell it... then it is junk TO ME
Right now I cant even pracitically give ICB away on starsider.

I'm going to have to agree with this. I have well over 75 of each of the mains one now. So many that they are pretty much worthless.
It's the finely crafted kits that I'm not seeing... and those are LOWER in level for slices.

I think the big issue here is, why bother having master BH if the same loot drops off of lower marks? Getting Boss marks is nothing special. They drop junk most of the time (yes, they do), and since they are rare it makes them not worth it.
Elites that I can kill with relative ease and drop loot > Boss marks that are rare... that drop bugs alot anyway.
It should mean something when a Master BH goes after marks.
I am in no way saying to makeboss marks easier or less rare. After about 40 mission yesterday, I saw 3 boss marks. 2 of the three dropped junk. All there were kicking the snot outta me (The KD kind). In the end I won and got illegal boosters for my troubles. So out of ALL.. and I mean ALL my boss marks that I've faced over the past few weeks, 3 have had something on them worth keeping. And that's alot of missions. (10 hours a day)
This argument is complete rubbish

I´ll gladly take any component you can spare. Seriously! You have to realize that Smugglers used to buy crates of components. Now we have to go hunting for them.
