Charge shot looks cooler, plus if you are fighting some bols, pickets, etc... you hit them right in the head.

I agree, i was a Master Carbineer for over a year before switching to CM and i loved it. The hand in the air shot is feared galaxy wide.

For the record, Knockdown is THE shot. Not, "Charge shot with a chance to knockdown target", not "underhand shot with a chance to knockdown target.


They're BOTH KNOCKDOWN SHOTS. If they didn't knockdown it's because A) You missed B) The 30 second knockdown grace period on your target has not yet expired) C) They got some nice +25 to KD SEA's on (if they even work).


I've never had ANYONE resist my Underhand Shot without A, B, or C applying. EVER.

Here is hwo I detected how /chargeshot was landing more KDs than /underhandshot

First I made a macro w/ JUST /underhand shot in it, and bound it to a key, then made a note of how much I was missing and how many times a KD actually happend. ( I was taking CL 70 gurk missions on Lok)

on my second gurk mission, i switched the macro to /chargeshot and watched my results.

Mobs were on their back a LOT more with /chargeshot than w/ /underhandshot

I then combined them into one macro, did a /underhandshot, then a /chargeshot right after, and watch the first one miss more often or fail to KD, then the /chargeshot goes off and finishes the job.

If you want a cool combat animation, combine /chargeshot w/ /firearmstrike in a macro

You then lunge at your target, bash them in the teeth with a rifle butt, then knock them on their a$$.

As a CU Alpha Tester... who has tested both shots extensively, I confidently confirm that Chargeshot is more effective at delivering a successful Knockdown. Just because your shot hits, doesn't mean the KD applies. Just as Stun doesn't apply 100% of the time either. The KD effect on Charge Shot from Carbineer applies with greater regularity than the Underhand from BH.



I'm currently an MBH/M.Pistoleer, and I often long for my Underhand to be as good as my KD was as a Carbineer.
