Then you did not almost lose to a 40K jedi...you almost lost to a Pistoleer. At 40K, the skills a jedi have are mearly a side note. They are still very well speced in regular skills.

As for the original posters comment about carbines being "support".....Get Carbineer and MBH and come back more educated. A smart BH with MBH/MCarb is a very deadly force and can solo jedi as well as any of the others.

can't get an answer on the BH forum. gonna respec from commando (sorry to see that go, but hey, it's broke)to MBH/CM4000 with either carbines or rifles. I've never been either a carbineer or a rifleman. What is preferable?

i personally like carbines better, BUT, in light of the fact that all defense mods have recetnly been found to be farked, id say go rifles (you get a slightly higher ranged defense skill mod with master rifles i believe.) just my 2 cents

Can you please give a bit more info on that, it's the first time i hear of this... you mean, modifiers like carbine defence don't work?

Ooooh...

I jus copy pasted that clicky it may or may not work

basicly they discovered that ranged defence works when u got a ranged weapon against EVERY form of attack be it melee or ranged

and melee defence works when u have a melee or no weapon equipped against EVERY form of attack be it melee or ranged

Actually, I believe more that it depends on your playstyle.

You may want to tag along with a rifleman in game and a carbineer in game and see how they do what they do and if it appeals to you.

Rifleman is generally prefered because of the very high damage and the slightly higher defense.

We have good kite abilities and have very good speed.

Mostly see what it looks like in game to you and go from there.
