Thread: Are there any non CM-BHs out there???
I just started hunting Jedi again with the above template with a added punch, Combat Prowless 4000. I'm still learning how to best to use this but I was 1 for 3 this morning. One of the two losses was my own doing, I should have opened up with my root attack to keep the Jedi from running off to heal and gather himself. That won't happen again. The one win was fairly easy, the Jedi never even knew I was there until after the first incap. /shrug I need to do more missions with it to see how it goes.

Bacta toss does root you for about 2 seconds when you hit it, but in my experience it's the best one to use if you need to heal alot of damage. I typically can get away with spray and jab while running/fighting the Jedi. When they root me, I'll use all 3.
Also... strange thing about CM's and area heals. You will NEVER inadvertantly heal a Jedi while fighting, or in PvP. But be careful in duels. You can, and will, inadvertantly heal your opponent with Bacta Spray, Jab, and Toss if you have them targeted in a duel, and would otherwise be able to heal them. ie, both the same faction and status (on-leave, combatant, or SpecForce) or opposing faction but on-leave status. It's a strange bug, and I didn't believe it until the combat spam verified the following during a duel with an opposing faction member:
"Legead heals So-and-So for 1200 points of damage" If you haven't changed your chat settings, healing messages will appear in yellow. It was really quite funny to be honest, but it was the reason that I lost that duel...
To get around it, I've created hot key macros and stuck them on my tool bar to /tar self then hit the healenhancer on another toolbar, then flip back to the toolbar I was using. That works for Toss and Jab, but the spray is ALWAYS an area attack.

My BH has had the same Temp since Pub 9. I know I'm not FoTM and also know that I cannot outheal Jedi, but I don't try to, nor have ever tried to, tank a Jedi. Been hunting Jedi since they had buffs, saber damage, could hide in a house during a fight, could get healed from others, force from others, had GTefs, 85% saber block and so on. I have won thru tactics, surprise, and yeah, underhandedness. But most importantly, I haven't changed my template because I have fun. My BH temp is MBH/MCarbs/Pistol 0404.

Was MBH, MR, 4000 CM.
Changed to MBH, Rifles 4004, CM 4004.
Does well against those precu saber punks. Can stick Imp. Thyroid, Electrodrain snare on them before paralyze wears off. KD, gain distance...I've banked my Torso shot so when they catch up to me I just hit paralyze and gain some more distance on them ![]()
Got a nice hard hitting trando rifle. Currently my speed is 1.4 seconds...but as I find better and better rifle speed CA/AAs this will begin to fall. Sac is 53 with a sac pup on...can shoot forever. 510-1167 dmg on the trando. No more using that crappy snare from the rifle line.Finding a good sac/speed/damage rifle is a difficult task but I'm getting there lol..
I've seen some successful MBH, Rifles...with 0003 pistols for the root and medic with ca/aas and bio clothing for the heals. They seem to do well. I suppose it would be alot easier to go MBH, Pistols 0403, with the specials from rifles 4000 while using a pistol. Pistols have lower sac, faster speed, and near the same damage as Rifles sadly. Bonus of not being perma-snared by a Rifle. Headshot, Snipershot, Crit Shot, Confusion, Torso...lots of good specials in there and room for more skillboxes to play with.
I currently have a MBH/MRi/xxx3 Pistols/FS:Melee Def 3
Unfortunately, I'm not that good at PvP, don't have uber armor or foods, so I may not be a good judge and have hunted only 5 Jedi. The one that turned into a stand-up fight I got my clock cleaned.
I've toyed with getting some CM, but have resisted. My template is good in PvE, especially if I'm in a group with a medic.

I was..... MBH/MRM/4xx4 pistoleer. It was GREAT for PvP but lacked healing against Jedi. I was at about a 100% kill rate on low level padawans, 80% on mid-level Jedi and about 10% on Full Templates. The Mid-Level and Full-Temaplates who knew what they were doing would eventually close down to melee range and tear me apart, and since I could not heal, there was only so much synth steak and 30 second healing I could do.I changed my temp to MBH/MRM/4xxx CM and now have 100% kill rate on padawans, 90% on Mid-Level, and about 75-80% on Full-Templates. BIG difference in the healing area, but you will have some time getting used to tactics that don't involve root.
I would recommend that you save your respec though. It will take you about 1-2 hours total in a grinding group to get the required medical experience. All you need to do is go out grinding, make sure the group is mostly the same as you, either on leave or combatant and heal away. At first it will be slow since you will have toss and jab, once you get the area spray heal, the XP rolls in like no one's business.
Save that respec for a time when you might need to change your full template, not for an "easy" skill switch. You'll miss it later if you use it now.
QFE I was going FS (actually banked 6 skills which really messes up my template now) and used my Respec to go melee(melee helps jedi and all) and when i realized jedi suck, i had to regrind my entire template while cursing myself for my ignorance

It was not possible to have your template before the curb (do to skill point requirements for MBH). So please explain better how you had the same template since pub 9.
