Your entitled to your opinion, in the same way that you are allowed to play your BH to suit your play style. If you want to play an honorable duelist BH thats fine with me.

I play my BH in a style that suits me and by the look of it so do a few other people. I work on the premise "Never give a sucker an even break." I started BH in the good old days when any "ranged" BH struggled to take down a Jedi without a great deal of patience, research and luck... No Armour was required since no legitimate armour had Lightsaber resists. The only way to terminate a mark was to chose your moment well and strike as hard as you could.

As a BH I am tasked with hunting and terminating a target with extreme predudice. No where does it say I have to walk up to the mark and attack him in a gentlemanly fashion, No where does it say I have to be honourable and above board, I don't need to email him to let him know I am coming.

I am gonna booby trap mission terms...Hide in lairs...Attack a wounded enemy and generally be a low down scumbag. And if that makes me a bad BH in your book well thats fine but I am gonna enjoy myself doing it...

this happend last week...

a few temp imp jedi was afk guild recruit spamming in front of mos eistly spaceport and to see if he was fully afk i sent him a tell asking if i could join, no reply. so i went behind the cantina to the bh terminal and picked imp jedi... then tab, nothing, another imp jedi mission... hit tab, and bingo, it targeted, so i strut on over to him and drop him in 2 seconds and all the newbs in mos eisly were like wowowww

Ok so this isn't a new trick. It was just my fist actual mission. I followed my mark to Dathomir and noticed he was way out in the Boonies. I called for my speeder and started heading to the location. I sent my seeker ahead of me to keep the mark insight. The location must of been a good 7k meters away from any of the star ports, so I had plenty of time to plan my attack. Judging by his location it was obvious he was grinding, I just wasn't sure if he was alone or in a group.

My plan was to park about 200m out and watch him. I knew if I waited for the right opportunity I would win. I also knew if I ran in and just attacked I would probably loose. If he was in a large group I figured I would drop the mission and pull another. But heck after dodging several lairs and mobs attacking me, driving this long arse distance, and sending 2 seekers after him. I knew I was either going back victorious or I was going back to the cloning building.

200 meters out I parked and started to observe him. I couldn't see him so I figured he was cloaked. That's ok I wasn't in a rush, I have a lot of patience so I knew I could out out wait him. I tried to stay about 200 meters out as I circled his position. He was alone, and he wasn't fighting any creatures. I went back to my hiding spot and checked my supplies. My seeker ran out of energy so I sent a third seeker.

Ok, this guy is waiting on me. He knows i'm here so he is conserving his energy. My thinking of the guys combat abilities started to change. I figured only a full temp would stay there ground. Ok to hell with it, I didn't come all this way to wimp out. I called my Probate droid and I started running in. I can see him now, standing at the top of the hill. He is facing me as Im about 100meters out. I send my probate to the right and order him to attack. I open up with my knock down shot.

He deflects it with his DBL bladed saber. He keeps deflecting my shots. I start to think I am really screwed. I notice he isn't coming after me, so I look at my HAM. I noticed I was eating my action and mind bar up and I wasn't even denting him. I stop and eat my meal to help. I then slowed down and got into a rhythm of doing Knock downs and leg shots. He wasn't deflecting my shots any more and I was kicking his Jedi butt. When I first incapped him, I was wondering what the heck is wrong with this guy. He didn't even fight back. He stood up and I incapped a second time. Then I realized this dummy was AFK. I caught him sleeping and I was going to make him pay. I incapped him a third time and got my first victory.

Got this runner reb who was hunting the FS npcs out on Dantooine. I show up pwn him for a bit. He runs. Also sending me tells like I'll pay you to drop the mission n stuff like that. Tons of junk trying to get me to talk. Even tries a few languages. I stay tight lipped.

Like this for bout an hr n a half. He took out 2 bikes on Dant. But everytime he would get away n hide i would go back for a new buff. Finally he escapes off planet.

I figure this guy wants to be in a safe place, so i think. Guild city! So I know his guild n guild city, resides onTat,pretty well, been there alot of times b4 for going to fort tusken pre CU. I shuttle in. Get there few sec after him. Start unloading again. He starts running like a mad man. Goes like this for another 30 min of him barely fighting n me beating him senseless. But he finally escapes me n hides in his house in the city.

So i figure my next bet is assess my situation. First attack gone. 20 min on buff. Banned from city so getting a new buff n back would b hard. I know hes somewhat cocky from the tells hes been sending. I try a new tactic. I unequip my rifle n hit cover in the middle of the back of the outside of the cantina. Log out n log back in. So no matter what he doesnt know where Im at. Crawl up to the end of the cantina nearest his house.

I see blue dots moving pretty fast. So his guild mates r looking for me now. One of his guildmates pulls up to his house.

My mark was like, "Where did he go?"

The other guy was like, "I'll tell you when I spotted him."

So my mark is dump n walks outside his house. BANG! Conceal shot. Hes now teffed. No house hiding. Follow up with Sniper shot. Hes down to 1/3 rd health. Go for critical shot but he heals just as it hits. So incap then heal. So hes back up healing n running like crazy.

N the guildmate was like, "I FOUND HIM!"

So my mark is running again while his guild was yelling FIGHT HIM!Fifteen minutes lateranother blue dot shows up n starts dropping DOTs on him. Me n this new bh group up n end this runners ways n share the profit.

My first tell to my mark, "So long and thanks for all the fish."

LoL. Well, I knew for a fact he couldnt beat me in a straight fight. Most jedi without preCU or high end postCU sabers cant. Even held off one the night b4 that had a decent postCU saber. But couldnt hurt her that much cause she was almost MDef.

But this guy I knew I could hurt alot n just kept on wearing him down. Friend of mine working on a better gun for me so I can drop them faster. N also gonna finish the Etyyy hunting ground quest for the fallaan hyper rifle.

But I always use that line on the jedis I kill now.

Here is one I was taught a good lesson on. I tracked this one guy to Dantooine. When I arrived at the startport the waypoint said the guy was about 10m away. I ran over to a Macroing Doc and had my buffs refreshed. So i searched and searched but I could not find this guy that was 10m away. So I figure this is a bugged mission and I start to head to the terminal.

There the guy is. In his Jedi robe with his saber in hand. He has this niffty lil sign above his head that says afk. I watch as his buffs drop and then re-appear. I figured he was macroing his buffs and he was afk. I wait a little bit longer and then say what the heck. So I opened up and started firing away. He deflected most of my shots and the stepped towards me. The guy was an experienced PvP, almost full temp, playing possum.

He had lured me into a confined space. He used the afk flag to lure me into the fight. He hit me twice and incapped me with out breaking a sweat.

Lesson learned. 1: I'm the hunter. I choose the time and place for the battle not him. 2: afk flags don'tmean afk. 3: I needed better armor and a better Carb. one that doesnt eat my action so much.

hehe, it always stings when a hunt goes wrong. Especialy when you think you trick the target into a bulletproof trap

Wrong. Too many bounty hunters these days just fight well and don't stalk or think at all.

Okay, several come to mind, but this one sticks out especially due to some of the role play content....

It was Pre-CU when Jedi (and BHs) would get buffed for combat. I had this mark I was tracking for two days. Ran into him twice but the moment wasn't right. First time he was near his house (yes I learn where Jedi live, where they grind and with whom they associate). Second time he was in Theed with some of his buddies (yes, back in the GTEFs days) so I backed off then as well.

Not to be deterred, I finally track him to C'Net. I wander about and see that he's gone into an ID tent. I get about 50m or so away and start eavesdropping. My mark is speaking with an ID about getting a "another stat migration". Okay, "great". I think to myself. I eavesdrop a bit more and know exactly when they are underway. It is at this moment, that I walk in and blast the unsuspecting Jedi and before he can do anything, he's a corpse. Well here's the good part. The ID was upset, yelling to me that this Jedi was going to pay her 15k for the stat migration. I tipped her 25k and replied (ala Han Solo) "Sorry about the mess." and went on my way. Needless to say I was expecting a torrent of hate /tells from the Jedi but he was cool and simply sent me a tell that said "well played".

So here i go riding to the dwb with 6 jedi and a weaponsmith. Moments later they buff me and we walk in and what do you know my mark is the tank Rofl So about halfway inside he has 3 droids on him and dosent have too mutch force.

You can just imagine the hate tells after i opened up in him i have never been so satisfied with a kill in my life.

The tale of my first Jedi kill.

I grab my mission, track my target all the way out to Yavin IV. He's way out the eastern edge... I travel out there, stay quite a ways away, and try to get in his path of travel.

Nothing ever goes my way, so he turns half-way through and heads back to the outpost. he's easily halfway there by the time I realize it (had to launch another seeker, you know how it goes).

By this time my buffs were almost worn off, so I had every intention of heading back to the outpost, and dropping the mission.

Low and behold, my seeker picks up the Jedi in the outpost .. just staying there. I wonder if he went AFK or something... as I make the turn into the outpost, I target him, he's dueling someone, and isn't doing so hot. Just as I get close enough, he gets incapped. I hop off my speeder, bring up the radial, select DB and stand there in one very smooth movement. He was dueling a Rebel friend, who said "I can't heal you!"

My response before I walked into the terminal.....

"That's because he's dead..."
