I dont bother with bomb droids , I only use combat droids, they are very useful if your target goes into water , which a lot of mine seem to do, i got one about 2 days ago, my driod incapped him in the middle of the water when he was trying to get away, and i just /deathblow. 226k sweet lol

I was thinking maybe a probot with a medic module and 4 bomb modules... yeah it would be expensive to use, esp since it would only be about as effective as an MSE, but you could use it as a normal droid most of the time, and only actually detonate it if you needed that boost for your mark. Basically use it as a normal droid most of the time, but if the situation heads south, blow it. I'd figure this would work well because the jedi wouldn't be expecting a droid that seems, for all intents and purposes, to be a normal combat droid to go boom.

I usually keep one in my inventory. I'm mbh, mcm, pistols 0400.... I usually try to sneak the jedi down to about a quarter health. I run to about 9 meters away, chuck a Paralyze, and un-equip my scatter. Hopefully, you didn't use dot's, any damage breaks paralyze. Then, the mark has to sit there, while you leisurely pull out the bomb droid, tell it to chase, and watch the countdown......

and if I may, I've been using one of the sweetest input devices in the world, kinda pricy, but I recommend checking out the site.... it's the ergodex dx-1 I'm pretty sure it's at ergodex.com

I've yet to use one in combat and let me explain why (within this rant is a tip, trust me)

When your DE is making these bombs, please... don't name them UBER JEDI BOMBER or MOUSE OF BOOM! It really does take the surprise element away. This is why I haven't used a bomb droid yet. When I get some extra credits though Im going to haveask a DE to do arun for me with just a generic type droid name.

(and I know that you can rename your droids, but last I knew once you pulled out a bomb droid and then stored it you would break the bomb ffunction)

I have droids in a crate named jihad bomb droids when pulled from the crate they revert to the original R3 droid name. I have to name them for the bomb macro anyway and couldname them Medic droidor something unoticible.Calling them to train them firstworks fine that bug was fixed a few patches ago.

So go get some bombsand blow up a Jedi
