Iaka - The above is true from experience. I am Master TK / Master Doc. I was havin some fun the other night in a PVP tourney with some of the finest fighters on SF. They were all battling for 10 min + to a point were the ringleader would count down and the opponenets had to remove there armor
When It was my turn in the ring, I took one dizzy shot to the head, went down, and never got back up - it was sick. Same thing over and over, these peeps who no how to PVP will KD you in a sec. Some might think that this type of PVP is kinda weak (the KD/D) and I tend to agree with some of the arguments. However, what this forces is true PVP'rs to focus strictly on combat skills and not having your char with any other fun abilitlies that might come with the scout or med tree.
Now when it comes to Doc - it's fun as helll with PVE or larger PVP groups / guild / faction fights cause you can hold your own and help your mates out. One on one, the ability to cure and buff isn't going to get you back on your feet. You need to stack the helll otta your secondary defenses. You can either stay strictly melle and Master TK / Brawler with the Swordsman, Fencer, and Pike def, or you can combine TK with Pistoleer which offers awesome KD def.
You can figure it out pretty easily yourself by downloading Kodan's Prof Calculator - I think you can get it at bloodfin.org. The primary melee def like counterattack / dodge / block don't work unless your holding that weapon so don't worry about those (and HSwrodsman C/A may not even work from what I here). The key stacks are KD and Dizzy primarily, then stun, blind, etc. But remember, if you can stand you can fight - and that is the key.
Master Brawler rox b/c you can intimidate for 20 seconds - doesn't sound like much but when you think about 20 sec per minute you can cut down an attackers damage by 33% - in PVP tourney's there always ragin the Intim factor. Also, the secondary def stack up to 125 MAX so don't go beyond that, but if you wanna reign in PVP you'll need every bit of it.
