Ok, I am pretty new to SWG. I am a novice doctor. I had some extra faction points so i was going to use them to train some crafting. I found out, however, that i cant train med crafting with faction. Every other type of crafting is faction trainable, but not Med crafting. To me this is a bit unfair..please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nope, they all yell..

One thing I've seen done in PvP, however, is to change the messages to other common commands. Change the messages to "group", "trick", "a", "t1", etc. Then they think you're a CH

Yes. they all do that. You see the SL doesn't embolden his/her squad by just being around. They use the power of their voice, as part of their presence, in order to help the squad. So in this situation it is a matter of roleplay and atmosphere. In which pvp plays second priority. You see the name of the game is Star Wars Galaxies not "Star Wars Deathmatch". but anyways sometimes ya can't avoid pvp so I to have changed some of my ability lines.

I thought we had until publish 10 until the Quest update. But every topic ive seen on this board says we only have until publish 9. Im working on BH atm, number 19, and Im pretty confident that once i finish Investigation I will be able to get the other professions through before 10, I know I can't do it before 9 though. Can anyone clear this up for me?

From what I read, the quest system is not getting implemented in Publish 9...we are still on track for publish 10.

Here is what Im basing this off of:

In Development: Publish 9

Jedi Revamp Phase I

"Always in motion is the future". On January 23rd, we announced that the Jedi system would be revamped from the current system to a more quest based way to become a Jedi. As you may guess, this system will be kept under wraps, but we can dispel some of the rumors and talk about the philosophy. Off the top, players will continue force development on their existing characters and a new character slot will become available to the player to develop as they choose. A player will only have two slots ever available but they can develop both slots as they wish. The system as it currently exists will be completely swept away (with the old republic?).

This first phase of the Jedi revamp focuses on the core of the Jedi system. Being a Jedi will dramatically change as the possible paths to Jedi mastery will now have many different elements to suit different play styles. Advancing down the path of Jedi will start with basic force sensitivity which will be open to all players to create a sense of the force. If players wish to pursue it, they can develop their force sensitivity in minor ways without sacrificing their original character concepts and even enhance their characters to have that certain special something that isn't quite tangible - - a sensitivity to the force as seen in the movies and EU. Should they wish to continue, players can follow a PvE path of Jedi development from Padawan through learning the various force disciplines to become a full fledged Jedi Knight. Jedi Knight is yet another beginning to a new path of development. Once players have become a Jedi Knight and still hear the call, they can enter a whole new level that splits off to light and dark Jedi paths where forced Jedi PvP will gain you force ranking and possibly a seat on underground Light and Dark Jedi Councils. May the Force Be With You.

You should be fine, pub 9 is jedi skill changes, not jedi quest system, which as far asanyone knows isnt even past some dev brain yet. As for all of us Jedi , i do know i for one am curious to what our skills tree changes will be after pub , as that will be very insightful, to how pub 10 is gonna pan out . hope this helps ya.

Alright good, because classes end may 15th, so assuming 8 is at the end of this month, 9 will be at the end of may, and 10 should be the end of june. That's over a month of solid grind time(with work breaks haha). I'm pretty confident I can get the rest by then. Thanks for answering my questions guys.

I have (bravely) been wearing my MDE tag in cities since the publish (except 1-2 time I went "businessman" or "assassin" so I could get where I was going in peace) and I got a very odd (for me) inquiry. Seem the mayor of a city needed a deed for a protocol droid in order to plant his shuttleport. I was never aware of this requirement, and can't recall seeing it mentioned here.

How new is this? What exactly would I need to make for him? Was he mistaken?

shuttleports have always required a protocol chassis, just a simple chassis is all they need.
