U have some really good guides in the stickeys on top of page...
but from scratch it will take 6x3 weeks just to unlock branches and u do missions to unlock, then u have to fill the branches with FS Xp, u will fill each branch easy in the 3 week phase period... So its a pretty long and hard way to get to Jedi initiate, then u have to do 8 quests to get Jedi Padowan... Tadaaa then u are a Jedi that all Bounty Hunters can hunt

the grind is tiresome, but nothing the village faces you with is hard by any means.. thought provoking, but not hard.

If your worried about how long the grind is to unlock jedi, then jedi isnt for you because jedi is 1000 times harder and longer than the fs grind and during the fs grind you havnt got a chance of lossing a load of xp due to a bunch of npc's spawning next to you as you fight.

I don't think he was "worried" about how long the grind is. I surmised that he is new to FS, and was simply curious as to what to expect. Geez. Someone always has to piss in the punchbowl, don't they?

actually its 16 quests after ur finsihed with exit quest to become a padawan 
and most of them will be buggged

5 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!
I advise you to leave the Village, run, run, run away, and never return. If you value your sanity, you won't go into such a vile place. Leave it, leave it and never return.
In all seriousness, 5 Months. I have been grinding my fingers off since October 27th, and I will unlock, no later, than March 27th. But, it's very tiresome, I advise that you Master 2 Professions before attempting the village, it will help the grind go alot smoother. You're on the right path w/ TKA, I suggest Swords, truly a marvelous Profession. Or Doctor, nothing like being able to heal wounds and buff yourself on the go. But, if you plan on playing this game for a long time, I dont suggest jumping straight into this grind, alot of people drop out of the grind, and it may be a decision you will think twice about once starting.

it took me about 5 months too, just dont be looking forward to being an all mighty jedi when you get it.

You'll have to ask Nezodon that question. Personally, when I decide to piss in the punchbowl, I absolutely refuse to piss in punch that is not red. Any other color would be just wrong...
