Yep. It's possible.

Just because Pistoleer isn't the FOTM, don't believe that it isn't a valid Jedi killing profession.

I currently am MBH, MP, Carb 0400, and novice medic..

With this setup, IMO, you have the ultimate in control. You get the best root in the game, a good snare, and a knockdown. Plus, two power shots with adv. Critical and improved Leg shot.

Add to that a general ranged accuracy that's through the roof, and there's no need for pyro or any accuracy foods that could be better used toward your health and action bars.

What you will need though to supplement your healing is that +25 healing eff in the form of either a shirt or CA/AA. And, a very, very good gun. In my case I have two. One energy (de-10) and one kinetic (fwG5) both have sacs in the 70's and both are a couple points from being damage capped.

Those things, and practice with the prof, and you should be good to go!

I've been thinking of dropping Combat Medic 4xxx for your exact template. While I like the healing ability of Combat Medic 4xxx, I generally don't need it that often and the lack of accuracy (from the Carbineer tree) means I miss a lot. I think baseline healing from Novice Medic (with foods to buff timers and effectiveness) along with accuracy and the nice snare from Carbineer x4xx is a better choice. I will probably wait for Pub 21 to come out first though. They've made some changes to low-level heals and I'd like to see how it shakes out before I drop Combat Medic.
