The Doc/Swordsmen templates are tough to overcome but not invincible... I took out a master/swords/Mdoc the other day no problems.... took about 15 minutes for me to blow through their mind...the trick is to keep them healing and not attacking...have to say..jedi usually fall quicker.

I've beaten these templates myself as a MBH Mpistoleer. Intimidate, roots and knockdowns. They do not have enough opportunities to hit me. Plus Battle armor isn't that good and I certainly hit them more often than I hit most Jedi and for more damage.

Yes it would take some imagination for a Jedi to beat and often Jedi are not so good at adapting their fighting style. I also know that not all Jedi take MLS and the popular defender trees. But stuff like stasis would be a huge advantage as well.

I don't know where you get the idea of battle armor not being good, there are some amazing marauder and RIS armor out there, you can even get up to 7150 energy/kinetic layer and still have over 6K base.

As for having no problem against a swordsman/doctor, either you are lucky or you aren't telling the truth since the heals are very strong, a guildmate of mine is a melee stacker with doctor 4004 and he lasts forever even against multiple targets.

It's funny because Jedi complain about MSwords/Mdocs quite often saying that they are more powerful than actual Jedi. Myself I know that's not true, mainly because of the complete lack of ranged attacks on the part of the swordsman (all jedi have saber throw). So why Jedi don't just use their range is beyond me. Basically they could fight the melee attacker like they are pistoleers but with much more damage and better defenses.

not all jedi have saber throw, jedi with atleast 0-0-0-2 LS does. oh and my alt, lvl73 melee stacker can stand there and let ranged hit him for about 10 minutes straight without mind going under 50%

I imagine MBH/MSwords could be a good template. Sure, why not? With the right player behind the keyboard. Up against other BHes? Prolly not. Once you get use to these MLS/MDefender or whatever templates anything Non-Jedi seems kinda "bleh."

There is a bounty hunter on Flurry who has recently begun using swordsman/BH, and from what I hear it works pretty well...fights last about 7 seconds. Granted he has a +25 speed/accuracy suit and a decent powerhammer, but just goes to show that it's possible.

I had this template a few months ago, it did not fair out very well against Jedi except perhaps surprise attacks. But I picked up the template again yesterday and tested it on a couple different Jedi in my guild and the damage output is not even enough against a defender with and without aura and lack of melee knockdown hurts, with my damage powered up hammer my damage is 718-1429 and I still only did 870~ points a hit after an armorbreak even whlie berserk, definately not enough to wager in enough damage before the Jedi realizes he's under attack and heals for 1500 health which gives you a disadvantage afterwards. Only other idea I can think of is wait until the Jedi is occupied and pull out a 50+ detonation R3 and hit an armorbreak as soon as the droid hits *1* on the countdown and do a critical immediately after the droid detonates, but of course this situation will be extremely rare. I have tried all sorts of other things and I cannot say I believe that "7 seconds" fight. I have +25 speed, around +40 accuracy and I think +23 two-handed defense in mods.
