the pre-CU Jetpack wasn't a backpack it was more like a vehicle to fly, so if they haven't changed it with the CU it still should be a vehicle on the datapad.

it should, because its a vehicle...at least, I think so. I've never used a jetpack. But I would guess that it would function more along the lines of a typical swoop.

It does act like a swoop, but I think it's faster. I don't own one, but a guildie let me ride his for a few minutes. I have pictures, but I'm not going to bore you guys with them.

The jetpack IS a vehicle and is treated exactly the same way as a swoop would be with the exact same limits and restrictions. The only real difference is that when you call or store your jetpack you immediately mount or dismount. Short of a bug which would allow you to be knocked off of the jetpack there is no way to leave the jetpack out on it's own, when it's out you are mounted on it and riding it, and when you store it, you will dismount and it will go immediately into your datapad. And yes it can be blown up and it is not repairable once it gets destroyed.
And it does seem to be faster than a swoop, I ran race tracks on it to test it out and was able to get slightly better times on the jetpack than the Swoop or the AV-21 though the AV-21 was close.

I've got one. it is faster by a few sec's than the swoop on a track. and just ahead of teh av-21, not raced a barc yet. backpack stays equiped when the jetpack is in use. it can be repaired at any garage, unless totaly disabled. /tar jet then ~ to bring up the radial to repair.
Better terrain negoation than the av-21, doesn't seem to get hung as much as a swoop or av-21 in rough terrain.
