when i saw disarming shot i thought it was gonna be some type of deal to where it has a stun effect, like making them lose a turn or two....i thought that was reasonable since all pistoleer knockdown skills are not here.

I did the same thing and blew my 175K just for the disarm shot -- the skill does not do anything. Please do not waist your time with this skill as it is a total waste!!!!!!!!!!

It "seems" to be just a random HAM damaging shot, like double tap, and like stopping shot. Maybe that line in layman's terms is really "Random shot 1, random shot 2, and random shot 3. I'm not sure about fan shot...if it hits harder than those...?

This skill does not work as intended, but has a very nice perk (that my mentioning may have removed shortly). Try hitting a base or nest with Disarm Shot and you'll do insane amounts of damage, while my regular attacks do around 100-150 to a nest, and overcharge pushes into the 300 region, DisarmingShot1 does awhopping 450-600 damage each hit with barely any action cost, delay, or weapon durability. I don't know if that is the intended function but it is definetly interesting and I put it to very good use on the Rebel BF near Theed..

However, aside from bases the only application it has seems to be in PvP. Being a rebel, when I first got this skill I tried it out on several imperial NPCs and gotten ill results that tend to jeopardize my chances of defeating the foe. Finally in a stand of desperation, I convinced a fellow rebel to let me duel him with a junk weapon we got off a stormtrooper (I suspected at the time that Disarming Shot does damage to a foe's weapon durability) and the very first shot dropped the weapon out of his hands and into his inventory. I hadn't dented its durability, but I can find many satisfying victories to come from that, especially against macro-it-up types who won't adjust quickly to the lack of a rifle to be firing with.

Hmm thats intersting. Maybe the NPC's just automatically pull their weapon up again. Anyways I'm a BH, and i wanted to spend the whopping total of 33 skill points left after master into pistoleer. So i can't learn every skill in this tree i need to chose the best ones. THNX

does this knock the weapon away? Or put the weapon back in the inventory? Is this a good counter to knock down shot?

Disarm shot1 is useless.

Disarm2 (at master) is an area of affect knockdown attack, usefull for killing about 7 people at once.

So, work for master.

It doesn't work, its broke. When I use it, it does a very little amount of damage to a random pool. Completely worthless.
