Here's my "Bang-Bot" macro you mightfind useful. Haven't used it in a while but has done wonders for me.

The "One Touch" Det Droid Macro

---Have the det droid all ready, set with pet commands
---Target the Bounty/Jedi
---Hit this macro

/tellpet follow;
/pause 1;
/target (pet's name);
/pause 7;
/detonateDroid

***notes
--follow< put here whatever your droid's follow target command is.
--(pet's name)< case sensitive and whatever your droid's name is, must be
in ( ).
--7< you can adjust this number in the second pause line from 4-7, adjust
it according to the situation.....ie if you are in an open field battle keep
it at about 7, but if it's close quarters like in a city or building drop it
down to about 4 or 5...it's your call.

Would anyone mind sharing a few "family secrets" with a struggling BH? I currently have a Duelist Stance macro, but it isn't very good, and not always reliable.

Anything you guys can offer to help would be awesome.

I just posted this a couple threads below this, but whatever. Here you go.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For easy targetting, I suggest making some aliases. This one is my favorite, just type it into your spatial chat:

/alias
aa /alias targetchange
/target
- aa and targetchange can be whatever you want to name it.
- type alias to see what you have, and unaliasto delete exsisting aliases.

How it works is this. You type /aa
jedi's name
it will change the rest of the string to that name. Say I'm hunting Jedi-bob, so now instead of editing all my macros for different jedi-names everytime, you can quickly type /aa jedi-bob to change the string. Enter this into exsisting macro's like so...

Bomb Droid

/tellpet followtar;
/pause .3;
/ui action targetGroup00; ((make sure your pet is grouped with you))
/pause .3;
/detonate;
/
targetchange;

Auto-targeting

findtarget
/targetchange;
/pause .5;
/macro findtarget;

Thanks. I saw this one. It's what inspired me to ask. I was looking more for duelist stance macros, healing macros, etc. Mine don't seem to be all that successful.

You dont want healing macros, and duelist macros can go either way. I dont use them because at times it can cause you to die. But to each his own. Here are a couple you can try.

Macro name: Duelist

/duelist;
/pause 28;
/alarmAddIn 0 0 Duelist stance up, please stand still and reapply.
/macro duelist; << this last one I dont use, but if you wanted it to cycle that's what you can do

Add a duelist macro this will help alot as well, here is one I found on this forum:

/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist

Be sure to use the following for deathblow so that the macro does not interfere:

/dump
/deathblow

Mawl: Wookie Rebel Jedi
Tonie Stark: Imperial Bounty Hunter

I agree that combat macros vs. Jedi is a bad bad idea. You surrender control of your combat queue. A macro can go off at an unexpected time causing you to miss a heal, or miss a kill shot. I really don't understand this infatuation that bounty hunters have with combat macros -- especially the duelist stance macro. Duelist stance doesn't help one bit vs. a high accuracy Jedi. It won't cause the Jedi to miss as frequently as you would like. Your defense doesn't go up high enough to cause lessened damage vs. a saber. It just doesn't make sense to use on anything other than a low level Jedi -- who would most likely die vs a bounty hunter anyways. You're better off firing off a heal than waste a combat round on duelist stance, let alone having it running in a macro.

I have to agree with this. I love macros just to make things easier but I do not use any combat macros when fighting Jedi. A thinking opponent is not as predictable as an NPC bounty. NPC bounties I use the duelist stance macro just because you can stand at range and go until he dies. With Jedi there is just too many conditions that can go wrong. I have macros that will put on my armor and eat all the food I need in a seconds notice. I use that when sneaking up on my target. Jedi tend to look past the zabrak in normal clothes where as a zabrak in Ubese and a HLR might peek their interest. Currently I use bomb droids so I have a macro that will send the droid chasing my target. This I only use when my mark is in town or with people and won't notice a small mouse droid at his feet. Basically, when I am fighting a Jedi I want as much control over my character as possible. I don't want my screen spammed with macro messages. It is bad enough seeing that droid found its target spam when fighting a Jedi.
