Tales of the Bounty Hunters... very good read if anyone has a chance get it, it dont cost much and i personally loved it. My favorite is Bossk by a landslide, the way he does everything, and his ship the Hounds Tooth was equipped with everything you could think of for restraining wookies (Let alone other humanoids) Though he is a bit on the slow side when it comes to figuring out deceptions, he is my fav. And i didnt read about him making fun of Han cus of Chewie's death but he's a big cold blooded lizard.... what else can you expect? lol

I just wish Bossk had worn some shoes so i can cover up my cankles in game.....

I have a few.

Boba Fett: Pure and simple, the most kick ass Bounty Hunter to look good while doing, he's responsible for the Mandolorian armor fad. If he didn't have that armor he'd be unpopular. The books based on his life after the pit of Carkoon are great reads.

Bossk: He lead a seperation between the Bounty Hunter guilds and was always the guy to give Boba a run for his money. Up until his failed attempt to kill Boba while Boba was taking carbon frozen solo is when he became a bad bounty hunter.

Darth Maul: Not exactly a BH but he in away was like the SWG version of a BH. He used droids to track the Jedi, his mission was to hunt and destroy the jedi. So in a way he was somewhat of a BH, he just used a lightsaber.

My favorite

Aurra Sing: Former Jedi gone BH. Ideal Jedi killing BH, she killed man many jedi during the clone wars and slightly before. Her former master "The Dark Woman" had a few fights. Aurra ended up killing her and a few jedi in a explosion inside a cave. Aayla Secura was the only Jedi to survive and ended up besting Aurra in a battle. Aurra was then arrested and sent to the prisons of Oovo IV.

Iwish more books on Aurra were released, she owned.

Yeah, Bossk made some pretty insensitive remarks about Chewie's death in the NJO book where he met up with Han.

I always thought he looked cool, but the Trandos as a species just seem, well, sort of mentally unbalanced to me.

Yes, the idea of an assassin droid was cool, but come on, he was only following programming technically. If you really want to talk about cool assassin droids, look no further than HK-47, meatbag.

Now that is a tough droid.

Durge was ok, but yeah, if you can regenerate, then you have a big advantage.

It's like comparing Superman and Batman. Superman relied on his powers, otherwise he was a wimp. Batman was physically tough and developed and purchased the gear he needed. No superpower crutch and he still owned the bad guys.

Same diff. Durge may have been good, but neither Fett relied on a biological trick to make them the best of the best, of the best, sir.

The Superman and Batman connection reminds me of something.

Jango and Boba Fett were very different kinds of BHs. Jango was very adept at combat, and was an expert in unarmed combat, as seen in AOTC. But he never really planned, nor did he set elaborate traps like Boba did. Boba relied much more on his cunning than his martial skills.

I'm pretty fond of Zam Wesell... I mean she wasn't all that bad of a bounty hunter. Honestly Jango wouldn't be able to handle Obi-Wan and Anakin and she definietly was setup by Jango and Dooku to fall . Plus I think Mabari armor is pretty cool looking and she's a shiftshaper!

Jango Fett is pretty awesome. He's without any doubt the best non-Jedi warrior in the series, yes even better than Grievous. Jango was able to beat Obi-Wan in close range, and he is seen killing a Jedi Master on Geonosis. He probably would've been able to hold his own against Mace Windu, had he known his jetpack was malfunctioning. Not to mention he was the template for creating the Clone Army and Boba Fett.

WHAT !?

Chewie died saving Han and Leias kids from something, i dont remember, but bossk was still around and gave Han sh*t for it.

Thats a pretty ridiculous thing to say. We never saw Jango doing any actual BHing, and you cant compare Boba's hunts to Jangos, because Boba has been written about for what? 2 decades now? Jango just came out a couple of years ago. Its ridiculous to compare their written exploits when one has had so much more time to be written about than the other. All thats fair is comparing what the movies show us, and they dont show Jango doing any BHing, only Boba(w/ Solo).

Nope, that's wrong. There are very many comic books about Jango Fett, running from his childhood right up to his death. And if you compare his hunts to his 'son''s, there is a considerable difference in their style, whichI mentioned already.

each hunter had their proficiencies ... each one was cool in his/her own respect .. here a brief list by hunter and what skills i believe they were to be best in....

BOBA FETT: well hes probably the most popular to date ... i dont think boba was a great fighter .. he was a decent marksman ... hadgood tinkering abilities .. he kept his father's mando suit in good order for25 to30 years ..slave 1 in good order for that same duration and managed to make some good modifications himself ... but his REAL knack .. was stealth .. and TRACKING ... no one ever seemed to know boba fett was on to them untill it was too late ... and i remember when VADER and the ENTIRE imperial fleet couldnt seem to find han solo and leia .. good old boba fett got on their tails without even breaking a sweat ...

JANGO FETT: also a great tracker like his son, but not as great .. also very stealthy but not as stealthy ... i DO believe he was probably one of the best fighters ever ... he managed to take on kenobi one vs one .. ( sure his son fired a few blaster bolts, butthey they didnt amount to much) there was a point in the fight where ben kenobi, the man who slayed the great anakin skywalker, .. and jango fett were at each others throats one vs one .. neither had any weapons .. and jango fett took it to kenobis FACE .. he beat him down, head butted him .. and knock him around like a rag doll ...he is also one of the best marksmen in the SWU .. and one of the best equipment tinkerers ..

BOSSK: bossk just for pure brutality and disregard for authority in any manner ... not even boba fett had the nerve to insult and taunt an imperial admiral right in front of LORD VADER no less .. i suspect he wouldnt have hesitated in taking lord vader's mission himself

DENGAR: the perpetual underdog .. everyone likes to see a guy down on his luck ... whos been through HELL and back .. survive and even thrive .. i agree with one of the posters above dengar looks like he walked through a world war and still kept at it

IG-88: the best marksman in the galaxy period, can hit a target from one mile away ...

ZUCKUSS: cold calculating, .. and also one of the best trackers and marksmen in the galaxy ...but still falling short in both categories to other hunters .. but i suspect hes more well rounded

and last but not least my favorite .. JASTER MAREEL, although he wasnt born a TRUE mandolorian ( neither was jango or boba) he took over the remnants of the clan ... at the time he was leading them on their MERC missions .. a faction split off from the mandolorians ..and called themselvesthe DEATH watch ... and the battles between the mando sect and the death watch sect are what produced the hunter known as jango .. his family murdered it was jaster who saved the boy and saw guile in him .. a cleverness he knew he could nuture ... and it paid off because jaster produced one of the most successfull BH in history ( an entire empires army was cloned after his prodigy)

jaster seemed to have no weaknesses in fight .. was a top notch commando ... and more importantly had a sort of nobility .. veil of honor on him ... he was probably the coolest BH to ever wear a mando suit .. aside from the mandolorian race themselves ..

Who was that little punk that started wearing the Mando armor after Boba disappeared (sarlaac pit)? Boba killed him later on. He was a bonus character in the tera kasi game. Dengar was injured in a race against Han Solo...thats why he looks the way he does. Too bad Boush was never fully flushed out...the ubese armor used to be really cool looking. Yes, I know that was a disguise that Leia used, but if you read Shadows of the Empire..you would know what I'm talking about. Aurra Sing was cool too.
