However, from my experiences I do not see the benefit of CM 4-0-0-0. All you really get is Bacta Toss. I think putting those points in Medic 0-4-4-0 would be better for healing. But I am not an expert.

Let me explain it to you. The Medical support line in Medic(xx4x) only gives you a total of +20 healing efficiency. CM 4xxx(including the novice box) gives you +60 healing efficiency AND +20 to both ranged and melee defense. Medic 0440 is not even COMPARABLE to CM4xxx(Medic0410). You right in that I dont even use the abilities granted to me in the CM4xxx line, but all that healing efficiency means I can heal the crap outta myself w/ bacta shot, and then I have ranged/melee def to boot.

i have this template (sorta, i have medic xx3x, and soem FS instead of CM 4/0/0/0) and must say its good for the NPC missions. some decent armor, and a psg is all you need. i hear about rifleman getting kicked around by NPC's , well not me.

jedi is a different story.
all the fights are long, and long ones usually end up in ur foods running out, or them catching a ride from a buddy.

i like it because of the root, which allows me to bomb droid them, KD, and usually kill them in 2 or 3 more shots. although i guess u could do this with just xxx3 pistols too

This is my exact template, actually, and I've been semi-successful hunting jedi. I have 7450/5450 mabari armor, and I use the ion stunner. Always remember that when fighting jedi, that minimum damage is more important than maximum damage. That being said, I still have a lot of trouble killing pesky jedi. If they're master defender (which happens far too often in my opinion), I usually end up trying to lag them into not healing, and then use disarm to give me a couple seconds to compose my next shot. It doesn't work as well as I'd like, though. All my equipment is adk'd though, so I'll let you know if I run across any strategies that work really well.

The big problem with pistoleer is you can't front load the amount of damage a rifleman can, but with the right foods and spice, you can last forever against a jedi. Just follow a few simple rules:

Try to keep moving, so they can only saber throw you... they're dps goes down, and yours goes up (as you dont' have to heal so much).

If your mind is running low, and you're not close to finishing them off, use a disarm shot followed by a root. It doesn't always work, but it does far more often than root alone. Then run away till you lose aggro (jedi ALWAYS follow), and sit... your mind bar will regen in a couple seconds, and you'll be ready to fight some more.

You can do just fine with your template. It will just take you a little bit longer to get the db is all.

CM 4000 is not optional .. it is required for jedi hunting. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. With the extra healing efficency and using 1100+ enhancers, you can hit 1300+ per heal with bacta spray, and 1100+ with bacta shot. It's sad to say but jedi hunting is all about good healing/mind management. If you use good mind foods, spice, and damage mitigation food, you will easily outlast the jedi's forcebar and get the kill. Unless they use a holo ..lol.

Good luck with the temp man. Let us know how it works out for ya. Gonna be a tough fight considering you will be in saber throw range 99% of the time.

if you need to heal that much quickly your doing something wrong.

MBH/MPistoleer 4xxx CM is a Very viable template. And a great tank pve wise.

But you need to understand that to be success full you must control the flow of battle with this template.

All powers specials and Saber throw versions have a max range of 32 meters. So do your best to stay 33 meters away.

With a combination of knockdown and stopping shot you should do well enough against
most jedi. Use you stims first and supliment them with bacta toss, spray and shot.
have ruby biel just incase.

This template will work just fine. It is more challenging. Use your roots, kd and state effects. Get ruby Bliel and stim-d's. Most times the fights can go on for a long period of time but be patient and wait for your mark to make the first mistake.

Tip: have two boxes in your toolbar filled with stim-d's. Just last night I dueled a jedi friend and the duel went on for about 30 min and I lost because I ran out of stim-d's on my toolbar.

alright, thanks for the advice guys. I really appriciate you guys sharing your experience and tactics.

I have another question- Foods and Drinks have a "filling" number. I was wondering how much of a "stomach" number I have in total.

and, can I only get my main pieces of armor sliced for Armor Break, and my others sliced for something else? So I can Put my SEAs in my arms, and have them last a long time.
