well it sucks if your wearing energy resist armor and the mob runs up and goes melee. you can't run away to switch armor cuase they follow you and keep you from running.

i don't mind it being hard but we need to be able to equip armor or change it during combant. so if your wearing ubease and the mark goes melee you need to change to assualt. i had 2 marks go melee on me use ab and just stay melee no matter how much i ran. well you have to run them 250m away from there spot actually but you need to have your kinetic armo ab sliced and have min 8k resist to fight them if you do not have any healing. they where hitting me from 300 to 400 with 6.8k kinetic resist armor and no psg cuase there are none on sunrunner. couldn't find one mark 3 kinetic psg.

so lets bring back armor change during combant. we need it.

I just went after aone of these potent gold 82's and let me just say this: they're nasty. Mine had 34k health and regenerated it at essentially the same rate as my DPS. I didn't have quality food with me, but it wouldn't have made much difference. He was hitting me for a minimum of 300 damage in my armor with a PSG, doing over twice that when he got into melee range to use his knife.

I'm a MBH / Master Carbineer / 4000 CM and I was using a fine gun with a low SAC and a good damage PUP. I couldn't get him below about 28k before he eventually killed me. He used that NPC burst run as soon as I put any distance between us, and did so several times.

After my second death, I called in two bounty hunter friends. They were barred from attacking him for most of the fight, even though they were grouped with me. With both of them healing me and periodically making attacks,we managed to kill him, but it tookalmost 10 minutes. Because of this, I'd have to say these are bugged. Gold's may be intended for group battles now, but the marks use different grouping rules.

I am of mixed feelings on the changes. I took a mission earlier to test this before coming to work. Just had time for one. It turned out to be a boss, just under 31k health. The first time I got him almost halfway down and then he managed a kd when I was low on health and killed me. So I cloned, went back, and tried again. I can't be sure if I just got lucky or not. Using ranged weapons the mark was very inaccurate and did mediocre damage at best. If he landed a snare/kd and get into melee range though, I was getting hit for 500 damage, and I was wearing 6k all padded armor. The second time around, it took a lot longer than it used to, but I managed to kill the mark. Got a decent AA, nothing super special, but at least something to show for the experience. What I noticed though, was that the marks action still didn't drop. I had been under the impression that NPCs would be subject to action costs the same as us, and could run out. Mark never dropped more than 1/8th it's action. That is what really frustrated me the most. Still, it was nice to have even a bit of a challenge on an NPC mission. But, if the loot tables aren't adjusted accordingly and I do a mission like that and loot a jar of bugs, I might lose my mind.

In the doorway of Glory he found Death who put his hand in hers and said, "Now, come home now."
"Soon," he said.

Well...got home and logged in to test these out too. Only had time for 1 before I had to log, conveniently he was a boss. I decided to cover my bases and use my bh armor with +7k kinetic resist and +5k energy...also threw on a mark 3 psg to give me over 7k to both. Used the usual crispic, spiced tea and blob candy with a duelist macro running. Started out the fight with conceal shot. Got 6 of those off before he went aggro. KD and sniper, followed by kip-up before I got hit by his first attack...which was a root. He closed to melee range and switched to a pike. He made a mistake and forgot that he can AB me for a while so the damage was less than impressiveif he actually did connect. After the AB, it started to tingle a little more. Root wore off so I kd'd him again, applied a bleed and snare and began to kite. Didn't last long before he pulled a pistol out and snared and kd'd me again. At this point, I decided to see just how much of a bad a$$ he was and stood toe to toe with him (it pays to have experience as a tank and in kiting). Went through the usual kd, crit, head, crit, head, ranged, head, ranged game plan that has worked well on quick damage dealing and flexibility for any times that an extra heal would be needed. Applied dizzy and blind and reapplied the bleed as often as i could and healed when I got to about half health (which did happen a few times...yay). At the end, he went down just like all the rest.

If you keep your cool and don't panic when they do something you're not expecting, you can find a way to counter. All in all....the best PvE fight I've had in a LONG time.

p.s. Also the first 3 item loot drop i've recieved in a while, even though it was just a schematic, booster core and party poster.

Saddly freinds, things are not all and good in Game.

Our BH marks have taken a jump in skill, which was not a bad thing, but the other problems compound this.

It is now -likely- safer to hunt Jedi, than it will be for you to hunt level 82 marks. The NPC's have a faster action pool regen, and a gold Chevron that used to have resonable HAMs now has 30k HAMS. Not to mention they -instantly- have Sword Flurry or something similar. Expect to get Kd'd a lot, and to spend 10 minutes fighing your marks.

You will also likely notice the dual cost for healing, part of your mind and part of your action pools are eaten as you try to stay in the fight if you use medic skills.

Bounty Hunting used to be a solo activity, just you and your NPC mark. However, SWG has made a distinct pollicy shift towards grouping activites, it has become very evident that solo play is not in the cards for the new expansion either.

OK, 30k hams on a solo target that has an nearly instantainious Action Regen is not something I can do. The Few times I was able to pull it off in Beta I had to use a Imperial Faction Pet like a Dark Trooper or ATST to make things even out. Low rate of fire + High SACs on weapons are going to be suicide.

My Toon, has a max unbuff HAM of 3k.. Less than a tenth of what the Level 82 Gold Marks have.I expect doctor buffing lines will be making a comeback OrGoingMDOC/MBH. *shrug* the flavor of the Week will definitely be change away from CM to something else yet again.

Ok, I don't like the changes and I did my best to make the point that 30k Hams on a mark that has nearly instant action regern is wrong. They don't care. Go fig.

They dropped the action costs for healing. It was not placed in live with Publish 24. They came to their senses.

this gold mark thing has me all flustered... I am MBH/MCM, and I couldnt touch the guy. I was fully buffed and fooded and my rifle is 4 way capped (speed/damage/wound/sac) and I couldnt get the guy below 30k from 36k. I hithim with all my debuffs and state shots and had no effect, not even a dent. Good way to make the game a bit more fun for the jedi and worse for everyone else, thanks devs

For the loot you guys have gotten so easily in the past, I think it's a good idea to make you sweat a bit.

I dropped BH recently, so just a suggestion: CM damage debuffs have never been quite right for PVE. Against a CL80 PC with a 3-4K ham, sure, they tick away. Against a 32K ham they are a complete waste of mind. Save your mind for your heals, you'll have to kill the guy with your weapon and duelist stance.

How does this make the game more fun for a Jedi?

I'll have to check that, but it looked like I was getting hit twice for it still today.

without mrifles, I cant even dent this guy. I am just pissed that they made them nearly impossible to solo fora solo-by-design prof, just cause the multitudes of jedi ingame have complained that things arent hard enough for them.

That is not why they did it, sorry m8 but the 30K HAM BH missions were way way to easy before. That's on of the reasons I dropped BH. The npc's were just stupidly easy. They didn't change this for Jedi. If anything Jedi would PREFER you to take BH NPC missions rather that go after them. This just makes the game a challenge for a change.

Keep your eyes on the forums. I am sure plenty of strategies on how to take these guys down is on the way. Obviously, if you were CM'ing up your target and burning mind, you need them.
