Thread: Please do NOT make BH missions easier
I just posted a thread with a similar ideal, but with the goal of making BH missions scale in challenge based on your BH weapon level and Investigation level. I don't like banging my head against awall, which is what some of the current missions are like. I also don't want to see the missions get too easy. I want them to be a challenge. its just i loose my mind when i see these post the overall difficulty will be difficult because if u do ADVANCE bh missions you know this wont change how much time it takes(again this is good)
Right now there seems to be VERY little difference between the difficulty levels of the mobs between novice and later. I have taken mission with no weapon in hand and taken missions with the LLC at rank 1 in hand and in both cases the mobs seemed about the same. The only reason I know there is a slight level gariation is that level 25-26 missions would con white - red with a level 30 pet in my group (when i was still building skills and had a pet). If I took a level 20 difficulty mission with the same pet they were white but i dont remember seeing a red.
I think leaving the top end marks as is would be good, and just scaling down the marks for the lower difficulty levels.
I agree that they should make the marks easier, the 10K HAM is stupidly insane. We shouldn't have to Bleed Kite or Disarm them repeatedly to get our kills. After all, who really is the Hunter when we are running from our Mark half the time?
I do wish actualy Finding the Mark was more difficult. The searching for the mark, following clues and talking to informants, hell let us vist a cantina and try to get information from there.

Also wanted to say, that they should make the low level marks easier. Sure once we are rank 3 in most our weapon skills they should be this tough, but when we don't have most the skills of a BH yet and we are just learning them we shouldn't have to take out gods.
Well, you beat 15 with only 1 death. You are truly skilled or used alot of hit and run tactics.
We shouldn't have to KD, LLC, Beed, run, rinse repeat.
Sure run once or twice would be ok, but we shouldn't have to constantly run from them, or have CH to let a Pet help tank our mark, thats just silly.
Guile, come back and talk to us when the KD nerf (yes, it is a nerf) goes into effect. No way you are killing a 12k HAM Novice mission with a 30 second timer on KD when you are carbine/pistol 1. No way. WIth the KD nerf, they have to make the marks significantly easier.
I am with a few posters above that when the marks are made easier AND the KD nerf goes in, the marks will be harder to kill than they are now.
No hit and run tactics used. While I appreciate the complement, I'm really not doing anything special. Any bounty hunter can do what I do. It is just a matter knowing what move to use when and with what weapon.

The LLC thing is stupid IMO (I don't even own one yet). That is pretty clearly an AI problem.
As per the rest... basically what you are saying is we shouldn't have to use our abilities to kill a mark. Knock downs, bleeds and status changes/posture changes are the bread and butter of our class. Basically what you are saying is we should just beable to walk up to our mark and spam body shot and win.

We don't even know *if* that is going into effect. The name of that thread is "things we are considering" or something to that effect. For all we know that will be PVE only. Only letting us use 2 of our bread and butter attacks twice a minute makes no sense for PVE at all.
If I am so wrong, then why are all the people who complain about investigation 2 missions complaining about driods, white marks, and marks appearing off the map; not mark difficulty?
They don't complain about mark difficulty because *shocker* they figured out how to kill at mark when they were novice.
And I'm sorry, the KD change is just another knee jerk change. I understand where they are comming from in PVP, but in PVE KD is one of the few means of Crowd control. Taking that away from the group dynamic is silly.
