Thread: Duelist Stance Warm-Up
Well it's called duel "stance".
With that name it makes sense to stop and take a...well.....stance.
/agree
Check the "stance" word's meaning if u're confused with it
TT1 is right...

Is it just me, or does this make duelist stance nearly useless, to charge this up, you have to stop moving, and in some cases, you stopping, even for 2 seconds, can lead to you dieing. I think it should be like force aura or force infusion, where it's just an instant buff. That would make this ability as useful as it should be.
use it when you are rooted or have the jedi rooted
Yeah, that's pretty obvious, but if you aren't a pistoleer, you don't have a root.
And if you don't have a root, you shouldn't be taking Jedi missions.
If you're good enough, you don't need root.

And clearly Duelist Stance is only ever useful on Jedi missions.

or just refresh duelist stance after hitting with underhanded shot. Some of us live without root :-)

I know you don't probably care about jedi issues, but sadly enough a force wielders only decent dmg move has a warm up on it
. It's a pain in the a$$.
As for that, well if anyone's should be an instant buff it should be COB which also has a warm up. But the most likely reason for aura/valor having no warm up is getting to the basic version costs about 3million non-jedi xp.

I'd say go for it, but only if tk got COB changed too.
My 2 year old TKM agrees with you :-)
I set up an alias called "def"
When I am about to, or get caught off guard in pvp, I just hit /def and the following happens:
Macro for duelist with alarm
Macros for foods with timers for each (4 total)
Being a MRM and I am fairly good at keeping el'jedi far enough away that I can stop for the 2 second or so warmup, but not always.
Originally, I was a novice smuggler/MRM/MBH (when smuggler root didn't break) and the macro would de-equip my weapon, run /center, re-equip the weapon, run /duelist and then pop foods, etc on timers. My defenses then were incredibly for the next 15 or so seconds. Again, being a MRM, and having the smuggler root, I could keep them at bay fairly well for the then 5 second warm-up on both /center and /duelist.
