If thats your only bh weapon then you might want to invest in a LD-1 or Fallaan Hyper Rifle. Best to always b prepared. Give it a 7.5. Its a decent Trando but not the best Ive seen.
Yeah the LD-1 is the Daddy of Rifles. I have a Damage and SAC capped HLR which just basically gathers dust :/

You sliced it for speed instead of critical or damage, thereby giving you a higher(false) DPS,but a lesser quality weapon. Dont forget that your BH modified speed only needs to be 1.7 because of innate timers, which is about 2.5 base speed.
everything this man just said is hogwash.Testing in the weaponsmith forum has shown that you can benefit from speed even lower than 1.3. And crit slice is way over rated. It only gives a 10% chance to do 50% more dmg, which is only a 5% increase in dmg (on average). The spd slice you got will increase your actual dps much more than a crit slice, especially if you use a sac pup. If you use a dmg pup you will probably run out of action in longer fights.
The base stats on the gun are very good but they could be better. A top wscould get you the dmg much closer to the cap. And the thing with these rifles is that they have very high min dmg so you definitely want to get as close to the dmg cap as possible.
Sorry pal, but take a look at Torso Shot and Critical Shot. a 1.0 gun and a 1.7 gun will have the exact same cooldown timers for those two specials.
A critical shot will give 50% bonus on your high-damage specials. When I kill jedi, I don't often have to be using ranged shot for extended periods of time. With my damage, speed and SAC capped, I use Critical and Torso, timed with Underhanded and Startle to take all but MDEF's down with specially timed combo's. I'm not using critical slices for DPS, I'm using it to add more damage to my alpha strike and damage combo's.
Sure, this gun is fine if you like to use ranged shot a lot, but imo, I'd rather kill the jedi quick, or pump high damage making him heal and drain his force, than letting ranged shot do more damage over half an hour. I dont need to slice my speed well past the cap when I can add damage to my high-end specials.

you can't kill a jedi quick if you run out of action alot.

The 1.7 speed was actually in a stickied thread a month or so back, I'd have to dig up the numbers. 10% chance is pretty good for me, considering my speed, SAC and damage are already capped.
I rarely run out of action with foods, spices and action powerups, and as for that, hitting ranged shot for a few seconds will put me up to full and allow me to begin damaging again.

I repeatedly heard that due to game mechanics the spd cap was 1.3, so I brought it up on the weaponsmith forum and it was prooved very wrong, as I suspected. Players even reported having benefits from having speeds lower than 1.0.
you can slice speed past the spd cap. The cap is only for crafting, unlike for damage.
telling me you rarely run out of action means nothing. There are many things this depends on that you didn't mention.
and you would have to hit ranged shot for more than a few seconds to get back up to full, even with food/drink/spice.
