Yes I feel the same way but face it, a lot of people respeced into bh just to 'kill jedi' not actually for the profession itself. I'm willing to bet that many of them that only have 3000 will not drop skills to get MBH and many more who have it will not want to keep it. It's their right to be a bh. Its my right to have a jedi if I earn it. But you find out who is dedicated to a profession when they stick with it thought adversity, right smugglers?
For starters, there are no more BH 3000s out there. The CU made MBH valuable and every Inv 3 template a bad choice. Everyone has already picked up MBH because it simply does the job better.
Secondly, don't change the subject.
You can't "earn" Jedi by grinding a static spawn (AFK or not) without taking a single XP hit from a BH. You're taking the easy way out. Frankly, if I was a Jedi who did it the old way, I'd be pissed as hell that these upstarts are taking the easy way out.
Jedi should be very rewarding but it should also be very hard. An undisturbed grind with an accelerated XP income should not be part of it. Not only does this patch nearly obliterate a Bounty Hunter's ability to do his job,but it also dillutes the difficulty of being a Jedi to that of a joke.
I've been killed at the trails because I don't run to the LOS bridge if they (the BH) donot. And I've been killed before on other planets. I've also killed poorly skilled BH's and have been rewarded with a gank squad from an angry poorly skilled bh something that this patch will address. XP loss will still happen and it can really hurt too since ALL jedi will be hunted more often by likely more skilled bh's. And as far as other people's playing styles go I don't care at all. I don't care if you ground your jedi in a week and it has taken me since 2 months before the CU to get mine to my current leveland I'm still working on it. Those people burn out and ebay their jedi. Mine will live forever... in my hands only.
Time line, shmime line. There is only one line that matters: The bottom line. And the bottom line is, if a player wants to play a particular profession, he will bend logic into whatever form he needs to allow him to open the door to his version of in-game nirvana... be it playing a Bubba The Fatt wannabe or a Kook Slywalker wannabe. The massive numbers of both bounty hunters and Jedi go beyond the movies. Well, freaking so what? I'm gonna say this until I am blue in the face: This is a game, not the movies. And it's our game. We are the heroes, the villains, the larger-than-life movers and shakers. Think of it as like the parallel universes of Marvel Comics, with each having its own set of main characters.

Actually I see this as a way to thin the insane amount of BH's
Dude. Are you kidding me? You say that unlocking is the reward for anyone who puts the time into it....you don't feel the same way about MBH? Jedi have more of a right to be here than BH's? This is insane.
Oh and for someone who is so interested in the RP side of things, take a look at the number of freely roaming Jedi. How does that sit with ya? Make sense for the time line?
