Which is why guns with tight damage spreads and high damage dominate, like the Geo, DX2 and Deathwatch.

FWG's are great for wookiee's that wear armor in regards to pvp. That's it.
I prefer using my featherweight FWG with some nifty mods over the pre-nerf I own with 50 more damage and a MUCH bigger damage spread because of it.

Hmm, not sure why it's maxing at 500....I'd venture a guess it has something to do with your dabbling in the pistoleer tree (that is,.. just going up one branch). I throw down 1100 to 1400 regularly with whatever pistol I'm using with stopping shot (I pick the pistol by the enemy's resists). My pistol's are fairly good but no krayt stuff for sure. Of course, I'm master pistoleer so I got the bennies of the rest of the tree.
this has been said but here goes anyway..
i have a fwg5, dx2, mod rep blaster and a geo and i switch between them depending on what i'm doing. technically the fwg5 and the republic blaster do the same kind of damage but the republic blaster does higher damage at a longer distance so i keep the fwg5 for up close and personal if thats the appropriate thing to use. Use /examine on everything and pick a weapon that way. almost anyone in composite is still vulnerable to stun so the geo blaster is a beautiful thing ![]()
FWG5 is Heat damage. Republic Blaster is Energy damage.

mmm. sliced? Because if those are sliced I'd ADK neither and get a better one.
