ugh, friggen permadeath every 4th post. the devs have stated that nothing like this will ever be implemented again, again meaning (jus incase u never heard about permadeath) we already had a system in place jus like the one ur talking about and it got trashed for being too harsh.

The problem is this... In the old system the jedi was not your main char... you didn't have time to get attached to it. I have played my toon for quite a while now and have become quite attached to him. Would anyone who had put years of work into a character want to see them deleted? Personally that is the one thing that might cause me to leave the game. I like my character and would be quite upset if he suffered a permantent death. There are fixes but that one has to be a non starter... truthfully those who have played a toon for more then a year.. would you want to re roll ?

Actually, you just lost your Jedi skills. You still had the same character and could rise him up the Jedi tree again, if you wanted.

Haha I can see it already. Like the OP said if 4 BH kills would make a Jedi a BLue Glowie.
Imagine the respect

The best way to lower the number of Jedi would be to hire a bunch of hardcore SW-geeks and let them do a test on each Jedi about StarWars background knowledge, roleplaying etc. Perma-ban the ones who fail => we get to keep the true Jedi and get rid off the kiddies & r0xx0rs.
Not going to happen, but I'd love that...

i understand what your saying get rid of skill boxes which also could be a good idea but with them all afk grinding on kashyyyk you just cant kill them fast enough lol so they would need to get rid of that
You lost your objectivity right there. If you dont bring objective points, dont bother.

Do the same to BH too.
Love to see you grind that Investigation tree each time after death.
Oh, and take all other supporting skills too
Hi Novice Brawler.
Good for goose, good for gander.
(BH is gander) lol.

I still don't understand what the problem is with you people and the Jedi population. Who gives a damn if the population of Jedi to non-Jedi is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-1? Who cares? All that means is more marks, more money and thus more fun. Give everyone a Jedi for all I care. More fun for me.
If you don't understand the far reaching effects of having an alpha class as the majority of players you should imagine what the game would look like with only Jedi walking around. It's not just the KOTOR online thing (though that's reason enough to keep the Jedi pop down IMHO), but it also unbalances every aspect of the game from the GCW to PvE to the economy.
I don't want to play a Jedi. I've been playing SWG for two years, and I wish those that want KOTOR online would please go find their own game and stop ruining the one I play.

It has been brought to my attention that this would cut down on jedi pvp a lot...
Isn't that the whole point?

Jedi should all die completely after they are killed lets say 3 or 4 times...but when they die they get to make a fully templated NORMAL character with fs unlocked already and all of their items that they had so that they could unlock it again if they wanted to...but also now jedi could get better and go for master. At first only one imperial and one rebel can be a master...so the way you would become a master after there are already two is to kill the existing jedi master of the opposite faction. The jedi masters therefore would always be available to be attacked by jedi of the opposing faction. They would obviously need to make jedi master much better than normal jedi for this to work well. If the jedi master does not come on the server within a month then another new mission to become jedi master will come up. Now if a jedi master were to die even once he becomes a fully templated jedi knight. So there will always only be two jedi masters on the server...and TONS of jedi would die doing this making them become normal fully templated characters and make the galaxy more realistic to the star wars movies. To me it seems like a great idea what do you guys think?
Never gonna happen, deal with it.
