Thread: Do Gold Eliets drop the best stuff?

I have hit Dbl chev bosses for little trinkets and have hit normal CL80s for some good items (BH schematics ect) so I think it is random. Maybe a better chance if you hit the high end marks? Dunno.

Robes actually, on Lok. True strory, I was fishing on Lok waiting for the shuttle (back when it had a 10 minute timer) and a I caught a set of just regular Robes. LOL

The type of loot that you get appears to be completely random but he QUALITY of the loot seems to differ depending upon the level of the mark. I have looted double stat CAs from Silver Chevron Marks and have even looted Triple Stat Attachments from Gold Chevron bosses.

I've done 13 missions so far and have only gotten silver chevron marks, one of which dropped a triple mod AA.....what's the % for the gold chevron marks showing?

i got some bugs from a gold elite. I fraps'd that bad boy too

Maybe SOE got tired of making hidden bugs so they put some right in front of us that we can eat.

In my experience, the gold elites have a tendency to drop more. While you might get a smuggler item, CA, crystal, or whatever off a normal mark, the gold elites can sometimes give you all three at once.

I don't agree with that, I've had more than a couple regular marks (only 6-7k health) drop 3-4 items at once.
What I do believe is if you are some how lucky, the elite mobs will give you better stats on what you do loot (if you can actually get them to drop). For instance, I looted a CA off a normal and it was only +9 mod with another secondary mod. I looted a CA off an elite, it was +15 mod with another secondary mod.
So I do believe the loot is better IF you can get lucky enough for them to drop off the right NPC.
I'm just hoping to loot some of those powercells before they get the nerf bat.....I would be able to use my +64 accuracy Scope with them, /drool
