This is true, elder drops SUCKKKK!!!, lol. elder drop rates r usually 2 out of 12 for great drops, but u figure, u can kill bout 4 protectors in that time and get above average loots with better drop rates eh. I usually stick with NS protectors and spell weavers, way easier to kill and less damage to ur armor, plus u can find some nice loots off of them. 4-5k credits off a elder; or lances, blades with DOTS off protectors and spell weavers. i'll take my chances with the protectors and spell weavers hehe

What were the stats on the Biological Effect Controllers though ?
A while back on the CM forums someone posted some looted Infection Amplifiers from an elder... brought a poisons tick up to about 1200.

damn nice best get killing those elders again best i ever got was a 700 dmg LVA with slice took it to 900 dmg but sucky 5.5 speed

ive probably killed close to 1000 protectors also nothing notable off them... some nice pikes and a 2h cleaver with a 340 strength mind poison but thats about it o and enough rebel/imp disks to do the deadeye act1 (i think it is) missions

i killed a cl 81 elite (silver) mark an got a Ca: carbine d +6 Double bladed ls acc. +9 creature taming +6 bh armor schem forged barrys and ris one sheet.........not bad?
