Thread: Has anyone else had this happen?
I am disinclined to thinkthat this is the reasonbecause they did not ask me to try again, and they left the Cantina directly after they got their dance buff from me.

Or d) they want to stack the buff.

At this point, I'm thinking it is either a) observer error on the part of my clients, b) they weren't actually listening to ME, or c) they outright lied.
You mean "bank" the buff right? Stacking hasn't worked in ages.
Reports are that this no longer works. That it was a bug and NOT an undocumented feature and has now been fixed.

If you recieve one buff /stoplisten... you can recieve (bank) a second buff that will activate when you stop listen... so no returning to the cantina for the second one means an effective 4 hour buff.

Yep, doesn't work any longer. Since 12.1 went Live, I do believe.
Back to your buffing dilemma, I'm inclined to think it's confusion on your customers' parts, over how a Musician buff actually works.
If they had armor on, and were waiting to get a music buff from you, it's quite possible their Mind secondaries were in the negatives. Thus, when youbuffed them, their secondaries could deceptively look like their usual secondaries, except the armor encumbrence brings your 75% buff down to the amount they usually have. I've done double takes with this, myself - my Focus is usually 800, which doubles to 1600, but my composite armor (theset with the terrible encumbrence) brings it back down around 800 sometimes. So, it looks like I "didn't get a buff" but really I did, if I hadn't my Mind secondaries would've still been at 1 instead of 800.
Do you happen to remember if they were wearing armor?

Funny how something as stupidly simple as a system message would prevent all this confusion for both us AND the customer.
"You enhance Warryyr's Focus by 800."
"You enhance Warryyr's Willpower by 1100."
There, now was that so hard?
Gah, sorry - I've always been very disappointed in our profession, in that we can't tell when we buff someone. I think that's the height of lameness.

Warryyr,
There used to be a bug that if the persons focus and willpower were in the negative they would get NO buff. I think that was because the "makeup" modifier to keep the stats positive was seen as a music buff and as we all know you can't rebuff.
Has this bug been fixed?
If it hasn't or it has recurred, then that would be the explination....maybe.

Yes, they were wearing armor. Composite armor in fact. I am willing to bet that your explaination is the true one. Thanks, next time someone tells me that they "didn't get their music buff" I will know what to tell them.

...anyone else finding that the MBH missions don't spawn on the core planets as often...or am I just having a bad luck streak?
