Thread: Stop the exploiters!
Jedi can't use regular shuttle terms while TEFed, but they can use JTL terminals. I've had them do it to me a few times. It sucks.

you can't leave the planet if you are agroed right? so why can jedi leave if BH agroed? If he's not agroed let him leave, we'll find him on another planet. the space attack thing i agree with though. if we have a bh mission we should be able to attack the jedi in space. we don't have to cause damge to his ship that needs to be repaired. maybe once we gt the kill his ship respawns at the space station with what ever damage he had when we first attacked.
Jedi can't leave if agroed. There was a reason he chose only the planets with the round starports (distance between terms and loading area).
Reading this thread the responses are excellent, shows that some BH's actually take their prof seriously, and put some effort into it (boom droid at terms etc). Patience does pay off :-)
I know! Exactly! I've always felt like we'd been cheated in that regard! I'd like to see SOE explain that one!

Oh gawd, get over it already. Why not explain how physics allow for a ship to pull 6,000g turns while people are freely walking around without getting turned to redish goo.

thats not an exploit, thats just damn funny. being able to launch into space might be some sort of exploit but its things like that that make chasing the jedi fun. some bh get mad but i like when they do that. I love the thrill of trying to get to the jedi before he leaves, its more of a rush.

Funny. It doesn't really make sense when you think about it.... a lot of things don't. I say, let em run to space. It would be a lot of fun to chase a Jedi through an Asteroid field and/or through hyperspace to another system. You SHOULD be able to blow a Jedi's ship to bits in space, and I'm appalled that that functionality in space was seemingly overlooked!
I know... Master Pilot's can waste any player in space in 4-5 hits, usually less right? That's becase space PvP damage is at the 100% level of PvE. All they need to do is install the same damage modifier system that the ground system uses, where damage is roughly eqivalent to 1/3 the PvE output. Problem solved. Would make the space game more enjoyable anyway!
And yes..... ifthe system were in place, and a Jedi was in another player's ship, it would be attackable too. THE ONLY thing that happens when a ship blows up is extremely minor credit loss (which could be debited from the offending Jedi's account?) and wounds to the occupants who died.
But BH's SHOULD be able to blast other's in space.... WHO'S WITH ME!?!?! OVERTHROW THE MAN!!!!!
lol... seriously, anyone agree?
You know what else doesn't make sense...a Bounty Hunter can attack a Jedi who is standing in a group of the same faction players or the same guild and nobody can help the Bounty Hunter or the Jedi.
Who in their right mind is going to stand there while a friend of theirs was being attacked??? Do you think that Obi-wan would just stand there and watch as Anakin was getting attacked by a Bounty Hunter? Did Boba Fett sit there and watch as Jengo fought Obi-wan on the Space Platform in Ep2?
I agree that the Jedi or Bounty Hunter should be attackable in space, but a group member or guild member should be able to help any other player at anytime while they are being attacked from any NPC or other Player Character.
It causes more problems, flaming, trolling and hate then anything else in this game AND forum. Even the GCW is not that full of hate to eachother that the jedi vs BH PvP is. Its sad. Its uneccesary and it creates a bad mood in the whole game!
Im not saying this just because im jedi. But look on the jedi and the BH forum! Its always crying on both sides.
I say get rid of the PC jedi hunt alltoghether

No kidding. Who else gets tracked in the game?

Heard a classic one last night. A friend of mine (Jedi) was being tracked. He knew the BH was after him so he went planet hopping. He would use only the main planets with the 'round' starports. Every time the BH caught up with him he would launch to another planet. He eventually started getting tells that he was exploiting the system lol!

In terms of Jedi being attackable in space, cool idea but not gonna happen. Why? Being hunted on the ground is a price. It's the price we pay for being (supposedly) 1.5x stronger than any other profession in the game. On the ground, at least. We are no better than anyone else in space, so unless you want to give us force powers in space (VERY bad idea), we have no reason why we should be hunted in space, nor adequate means to defend ourselves. As those that PvP in space frequently know, first strike in space is usually also the last.

No
They shouldn't change space damage to ground PVE damage. They should enforce a jedi (and anyone else for that matter) to train to master pilot. Damn it..it's lonely in space. I need targets. I'm so good I can effectively man turrets, flight computer functions, and launch missiles in my Nova..in my lonesome. Did I say I'm good? I meant lacking something to do.
exploiter!!
lol just had to say that sorry, jedi arnt going to lie down and die

i love the thrill of the hunt... usually if i found a jedi who actually moved around a bit more.. it'd be awesome.. so far the jedi ive been tracking.. ive been able to tell where they were headed.. =\ just some lucky hunches and some info on player behavior.

It's not forced PVP. Becoming a Jedi is a conscious decision as is becoming a bounty hunter. There's a reason you unlock another character on the same server when you become a Jedi.

That's just funny. I had a similar mark that didn't want to "fight" per say... He just wanted to annoy me until I dropped his mission. This guy didn't go offensive on me at all, for 2 days. He would just root/run/heal all the while mocking me, blowing up bikes, etc. It was like a challenge. I finally caught up with him on the second day, laid a trap for him, and nailed him.
Patience...... pays.
I've actually done just the opposite. There aresome jedi thatare just not worth the time investment (Exploiters, Runners, LD'ers etc).
BUT....
I had alot of fun getting their mission, pulling up 60m out, landing a KD/Root and riding away...
Do this over and over, it makes for great conversations....
