i totally agree, but i just don't like dumbass jedis strolling into the BH forums and trying to pour salt on our wounds. your wounds are much bigger and the salt stings more. i respect jedi b/c they're a damn fun fight, and really have nothing against the class in general. however, i'm not gonna sit here and listen to some 13-year-old kid who feels like he needs attention try to burn us when you guys are the ones getting hit harder due to a loss of such an investment.
yes, we are ALL hurting b/c of this change. that's why i'm not going to flame on the jedi boards, but i'll be damn sure that any jedi who come in here flaming realizes what they are losing with NGE (which always makes me thing "neon genesis evangelion")

Actually, for the few of us who got the Jedi profession for the roleplay aspect, and not to be some "uber 1337 pwnzor PVP God" character, this new change is a true blessing. I don't do much in PvP, as it is not my playstyle...and Now, I don't have to worry about being told I should be forced to PvP just because of the profession I play... I can now roleplay the Jedi, do all the quests I want with friends without having to be the target for some kid who has to boost is little ego over the internet.

a) don't want to be a jedi anyway. my crystal would be nothing more than something to put on my wall, and that's cluttered as it is
b) oh you're damn right i will. but only out of spite for 5 year olds like you. then i go right back to BH...or maybe officer, orbital strike sounds cool.
let's see, who feels worse here? me, the person who can't hunt you anymore, or you, the person who powergrinded hours and hours per day between april and august to have your jedi a couple of months and then watch all your work become as trivialized as as a bar of soap. i'm glad your dreams were shattered, troll.you have no idea how happy i am right now because of this.

Right there is the cause of the resentment some felt against the Jedi class. The pwnzors Jooo crowd always outnumbered the roleplayers/PVE Jedis by far and became the symbol of Jedi to most regular chars.
In the end this is not what killed the bountysystem however. What killed it was as mentioned consoles and the instant gratification demand most people harbor these days. Max reward for minimum work. The short attention span of people that instantly dooms any game with a steep learning curve.
People want to jump right in and start shooting just like in FPS games. In order for that to happen the game had to be dumbed down in every aspect.

i hardly think the jedi got what they wanted. we both had what we wanted taken away at some point.

well actually this isnt what the bh comuinty wanted but a good portion of jediand jedi hopefulls wanted that so....the jedi got what they wanted and because we know if a jedi lieks something a bh has to hate it
