Well that is easy to answer, it is the same reason we went 7 months with our name spelled wrong AND we continue to have 75% of our specials broken AND our best, working attacks at 0-0-1-2

That is REALLY awesome, mine (6 months old) is 107 DPS and this is 138 DPS!!!!!
Not sure what you paid, but well worth it.
As far as SPEED goes, you will cap this weapon at +81 Carbine Speed....so a 1.5 speed weapon might be more DPS....all depends on each person to what weapon is better ![]()

The lack of AP is kind of hurtful, but its a great day to day PvE gun, since the great Pub 5 nerf stripped all but the really nasty stuff of any armor.
I wouldn't go hunting on Dathomir with it, but you should be able to rock and roll on Yavin, Dantooine and Endor.
Speed of a weapon needed for each character is different. To me anything under 2.5 speed caps ALL Specials, but to somebody with +60 Carbine speed, they need a 1.0 weapon to cap.
So the only way to compare weapons is to offer up their raw DPS..... {(max + min) / 2} / weapon speed
After that you have to know at what point you hit the speed cap....+60 caps at 1.0 and +85 caps at 2.6 for example
