running isnt bad, its just part of the game..

I have jedi running away from me, and I will run away from a jedi when its getting tough...

Yesterday I had a real nice fight with a 200k mark... I tracked him down to some POI at dantooine, and just started firing... I was near death a couple of times, but I managed to get my health back up.
After a minute or 5 of running after eachother outside the poi, the jedi was getting low on mind, and started to run away. I managed to stop him one time with a rooting shot, but at the next possible moment, the jedi managed to escape (force run)
I launched another tracking droid, and pulled out my swoop to head for the nearest shuttleport, cause I thought he would go there, and shuttle off...
After a few mins I tracked his signal, and apparently he was a few hundred meters behind me. I turned round and went his way and another long fight took place. At one instant I was really low on mind, and managed to root my mark, and run off.... I stayed within 100m or so, and let my mind regen to about 3/4, and got back to the fight... It still was a pretty close fight, but after some nice high dmg specials, I managed to incap and db him..

We had a little conversation about it beinga good fight, and there were no hard feelings at all...

To sum it up; GET USED TO RUNNING JEDI, AND USE IT YOURSELFWHEN YOU NEED TO, its a valid tactic, and can make a fight interesting, or save your life... Sure sometimes you lose your mark, but that makes it more rewarding if you catch a jedi the next time....

Oh and calling people names doesnt get you anywhere...

What if its the other way round like i had the other day?

Bh comes for me so i run at him attacking, 5 hits later and his health is getting really low so he runs like a girl. I fr3 after him but due to the damn lag on tat i freeze up. LOL

lol running is bad doesn't matter if your jedi or bh

Well not everyone has to play the game the way you want to play it, besides the jedi way is to exhaust all other means before combat or death is chosen. All in all, this guys sounds like a smart player to me. When everything else fails, running is a dang good choice besides standing there with bullseye painted on ya.

Probably some ebay jedi or something. Fight or flight. If you run, you are the first chicken that can fly.

Its a game, if running means NOT losing hours/days of grinded exp then by all means.. take off. I HAVE had a BH run from me before also, prior to the "no names" patch 2 BH came, one died, the other ran away. All I said was "You started the fight, come back and lets finish it."

Since BH dont lose anything if they die, they have no reason to run, and they did start the fight in the first place. The Jedi DO have something to lose if they die, and they did not start the fight, so if they run because they cant win its just a smart thing to do.

Ok i can understand a jedi that has something to lose to run but a full template jedi come on, they got nothing to lose

who wants to be in the negative millions. what if i want to change templates later.

the whole xp loss idea has way outlived its usefulness.

I don't understand two things. 1) why any jedi would ever make an excuse for running, 2)why any Bh would send a tell to a jedi thus causing them to make an excuse. Jedi don't need to fight, no need for an excuse. I try to avoid talking to my marks at all. If they say good fight I will say the same back, but that is it.

So he ran to save himself 500k XP points, what's wrong with that? We get nothing if we stay and fight. Now if we could win the 500k instead of loosing it, then you would see alot more Jedi performing deathblows.

I always enjoy being attacked by a bh. If they're good, they kill me. If I can get away, I'll always run. Until I get to the point where I can lay out damage that will be even close to par with a bh, I'll always seek to escape. Lately I'm having a blast killing speeders. It goes like this.

1. BH comes and puts away speeder.

2. BH attacks and I hit FR2 and take off after the root.

3. BH pulls speeder and gives chase.

4. When BH catches up and dismounts I go for the speeder.

5. After killing the speeder I escape.

6. /Addignore BH after abusive tells.

One night I think I killed the same BH's BARC six times. Great fun.

They still have things to lose, ever think about the full templates that store up experience in case they want to switch their template a bit? You failed your bounty, thats the bottom line, it didnt even look like he was using the heal while stunned thing as an excuse for running, he was just saying it in a conversational tone. I would kind of like to know what you called him after he told you this, I can make out you but I can make out the insult. you suc? perhaps?
