Remove ALL xp from Kash for everybody. Leave it as a quest planet, one that everbody can enjoy when they want to. Jedi that want to grind can do so anywhere else in relative peace with the loss of grp vis, and any jedi that does get vis deserves to be hunted.

Problem solved - over to the devs..............

Kind of odd that the only people crying for the removal of xp from Kashyyyk are Bounty Hunters. If the mob's on Kashyyyk granted little to no xp then why would anyone botherinvesting the time neededjust to access some of the more difficult to reach missions/quests. Let take, for example, NK-Necrosis.Jedi have the advantage, they can forcerun right down to NK's entrance and not fight a single spider.Non Jedi, on the other hand, must fight every one of them to get down to NK. This take upwards of an hour to an hour and a half depending on how many people are in your group. Now you want to tell those people, "Hey, you can spend the next hour and half killing spiders for no xp to reach a mission in which you will probably die and then have to do it all over again. I do not think so. At least if they are getting xp they are getting SOMETHING for the time invested. You Bounty Hunters need to stop being so damn selfish and realize this game does NOT revolve around you or Jedi. There are other professions out there and other players who actually play those professions and like the fact that there is XP on Kashyyyk.

Most of them DONT find it fun to work hard for hours or days, just to have some one come along and take that away in minutes. ( no matter what the story line or game systems suggest )

This statement is false. I would argue that most DO find it fun. They are Jedi right? They knew about the whole bounty hunter deal when they went into it. SO I can't imagine why you would play a Jedi if you didn't like being hunted. It's part of the profession.

I would simply be happy with them a) fixing the los buggs on the trails, or b) banning those people (BH's and Jedi) that use them.

Would work for me.

What I don't like about this situation is all it will protect is macro grinding. And if producers are chosing to protect macro grinding in hopes of selling a few more boxes...

Then I must accert, that you make this assessment out of ignorance. (and I dont mean that as an insult)

We can still want to be jedi, and Not want to be hunted. Not think of that as Fun.

In fact, that is the concensus of MOST jedi i have encountered. ie: more than 50%

Granted they all think it apropriate to the game that we are hunted, as do I. But that doesnt mean I think of that aspect as fun.

It just means that I, WE, have NO choice in this system but to suck it up, and tolorate the bad with the good if we want our jedi.

That, is where you have made your mistake dear. You assumed, with no point of reference to the experience of our side. ALARIA hugs you.

Ehh, come publish 20 I don't see why you would stay on the trails when there is much better (and visibility free) exp to be had elsewhere.

because you can run a macro while afk and grind your jedi with pretty much zero chance of a bh running through every instance, tabbing through every possible target to find you. why were you down there in the first place?

The question is if a Jedi is group-grinding with friends to avoid visibility after pub 20, why would he stay in the trails over night to generate a flashing "hunt me now" sign before hunting with his group mates on a regular planet the next day?

Exactly. The only people who will still be down the trails are the AFK grinders who don't do anything BUT afk grind. They annoy everyone -anyone who leaves their jeebi down the trails afk with a macro running gets everything they deserve. The rest of us will be on Lok or Dant raking in the vis-free exp.

As much as I hate to admit it as a Jedi, Im afraid I must concur with the above statement.

I dont think AFK grinding for any proffession should be tolorated.

How ever, I do support the right of those actually doing it, so long as the system allows for it.

Its a choice they make, and they have a right too it because it has no direct baring on other toons.

I personally believe tho, that the consiquences of AFK grinding, out wiegh the supposed benefits.

I could never stand around afk macroed, and allow a BH to play tag with my oblivious toon.

But All the power to the BH that catch them. May those jedi fast understand the error of thier ways.

So until they put down their copy of "Coding for Dummies" expect none of the line of sight problems to be fixed.

I thought the problem with droids on Kash was a technical one. Which is BS of course we’re just dealing with planet instance and position information. If planet == kash ask client for instance then return info to BH. If that was a technical problem we are in trouble. Hell, that could have been solved by sending tagged info client to client through the chat channel if the droid returned “Due to too many life signs….”

But this statement makes it obvious it's by design.

So what the hell, guess it's really just to give jedi a reason to buy the box. And since player informant networks popped up and screwed up the plan we get publish 20.

You need to understand how code development works.

Virtually all technical issues can resolved, it just costs money and time. The business deterimines how much development spends and what they spend it on

So unless the Producers (which are their business contacts) approve the resources and money based on what it was sized it won't happen.

only bounty hunters are aware of it, but if you explain to other non-jedi why there are so many full templates obliterating the galactic civil war they will tell you that it should be stopped. Oh and other jedi that do not use this tactic want it stopped as well.
