What you are currently wearinfg is UBESE armor which is recon class...
You can get rebel recon armor if you are a declared rebel... and have enough faction points to wear it... Do a search on these boards to see how to get faction points...
I have been playing this game a month and have stuck with the ubese armor... factional armor can be very expensive arounf 700-800K

Go to the main page and look under the Combat Upgrade section. They have screenshots of all the factional armours. The Rebel recon armour looks pretty cool, I think.
