No avoid incap got reduced force cost in recent patch I believe.
At any rate it's impossible to overcome as a solo hunter. With 2 other BHs at your side the Jedi can only avoid incap for 2-6 min.
well for me Pub 19 is causing the screen to flicker now, starting from bottom to middle of screen.
I'm running a p4 1.9 cpu, and geforce 3 ti 500 64mb vid card. runing in 1280-1024 resolution, it was not happening the whole week before pub 19, when I resubscribed.

It looks like elemental gets added to the direct hit and AOE splash damage. So if you have 89 elemental damage, your attack to both your target and the mob's in the AOE get an additional 89 damage. And supposedly, the elemental damage is less resisted by armor than regular damage. That is a topic that confuses me, but it's what others have said.
However, the elemental damage does NOT get affected by the damage multiplier. So if you use a special attack with a 2x modifier, your elemental damage will be only 89 points.
So while it "helps" that we do a bit more damage, it would help better if the damage modifier was included in that damage. But it doesn't look like that is the design of the system.
Theres still lots of testing to fully understand commando unfortunately, Im more worried about right now whats broken (which is...A lot) and what's finally been fixed (elemental).
For the future though, I could only wish it would help us more since we don't have specials...
Well I can certianly say that the elemental damage. While very minor. DOES help. As experimenced when I helped out on a base slice today on Bria. We were taking down some imperial bases. And on one base our slice team went so fast at one point we had to have something like 40 imperial NPCs outside the base shooting at us. (Basically we'd gone in, aggroed the NPCs, had our slicers duck past with a guard. And every time they sliced the base. more and more reinforcements would spawn. Add that in with a squadleader NPC that kept calling in addition units and well.. you get the idea)
It was gettnig rather mean. And yeah oh no! Dont use AOE! some folk were crying. Well to hell with it I thought. I had some good states to use with the AOE. So I started tossing my grenades, swapped to my PFT and started blazing away. So what was right before a pretty bogged down fight with one other commando (Who is a Msmug/Mcom) using conc shot to paralyze them (And some times unparalyzing them due to double hits). They started goign down pretty damn fast. Alot of em aggroed the hell out of me. But with some friendlies keeping me nice and healed. And me spamming underhand shot, blind etc (I'm MCom/MBH) things started going alot better I found. And better yet. By the time I swtiched to another target it usually was reasonablya llready damaged.
It wasnt a HUGE help. But it -was- noticeable. Especially considering that by the time we got around to the last few base NPCs. The fire dots and elemental splash damage, along with the AOE nades had knocked em down to half HP or so
Depending on what they do to fix AOE itself. I think commando is DEFNIATELY going to live up to the 5 in offence. This was certainly by far the most telling fight I've ever had as a commando as to what our hidden potential is. Assuming we ever get properly fixed.
