I was blocked by a Rifleman, when I shot at him, now I dont know what it said on his computer. Also I did NOT block any of the TKA's attack, interesting to say the least.

From reading the pistoleer forum is seems as if defence vs knockdown and dodge are both linked to the weapon you gain the skill from, so when you remove your 1 handed fencing weapon you will lose your +50 KD defence.





No medic here, the Master Ranger bit killed that. Yes, skills are based on the weapon you hold. Funny how the skills that should be mixable are really a dial-a-character effect.

From my personal experiance any defensive skill without a specific weapon in the title stack.


One current issue is that many of the defensive skills currently do not work at all. this includes block, counterattack, dodge and defensive acuity. The state defenses seem to work in som cases and not in others.


The problem with tests on these defenses is the issue of a valid sample. It is pretty hard to test a few hundred blind attacks in a reasonable time frame.

Well it seems the NPCs are able to at least. VK-478 did have arifle in his hands.

I am a TKM and looking to master 2 other professions that will complement my TK. I had planned on doing TKM/Rifleman/Fencer, but it seems that will be totally pointless. After the new patch, will anything actually compliment TK?

I thought about doing commando, but that doesnt really make me a better TKM, just gives me more options when it comes to weapons. I hope you guys can understand what im saying... I want to become the best TK possible, I dont care about using flame throwers or anything like that. Please suggest some professions that compliment TK, thanks!

Anyone else? And please be more specific, like how the different professions will help. Another question while im at it, would there be absolutly no benefit to mastering fencer/rifleman/tk when the new patch comes, or will the benefits just not be as huge?

u could master brawler at least if u havent already it adds unarmes mods and special attacks plus other ranged weapons i think add meele and ranged defenses i think not sure which one?
