AHHHHH, but they won't!Just like now, with the respec bounty hunters hunting Jedi and very few of them succeeding. Just because you carry the Bounty Hunter tag does not make you succesful. Just like just because you carry the Jedi tag doesnt mean that a good Bounty Hunter can't take you out.The wonderful thing about the prestige system is that if you're not a good bounty hunter, you don't advance. Anybody can take the Master Bounty Hunter skill box. That's a good point, but...
At least bounty hunters have the ability to get these bonuses against Jedi, whereas the rest don't. With Jedi being the strongest profession, and bounty hunters being the only ones with special bonuses catered to defeating Jedi, it would kind of make bounty hunter the profession to be in order to compete with the Jedi...

Not compete WITH Jedi, but compete AGAINST them. And isn't that what we want? Isn't that the way the whole system is set up? If I'm a PvPer that wants the ultimate challenge, a Jedi, then I become a Bounty Hunter.
Now I assume you're talking about as far as PvP outside of Bounty Hunter missions go, i.e. the GCW.
Again it comes down to, are you any good at being a 1 vs. 1 Bounty Hunter? That really has nothing to do with whether or not you're a good team player in a faction gank squad. So lets sayeveryone becomes a MBH so that I can handle any Jedi that show up during faction fighting. Well, then you are missing the team combinations that can make faction fighting so interesting. And when you run into a balanced faction team, a team of all bounty hunters whose only special ability is really against Jedi, would get creamed.
I really think it all balances out. You have people that are simply not good at 1 vs 1 PvP, they will not advance far in the prestige system to get to the higher end rewards. But even if you DO get a large number of people getting those rewards, they are still no better off against non-Jedi players as any other profession and can even become unbalanced. This will lead to them getting stomped in the GCW arena.
I think it would really be interesting to see how it all turned out.

What you're saying makes sense, but people will still view BH as being a means of competing against Jedi. I just feel that one should not have to be a BH in order to fight Jedi. BH should be a means of hunting, not fighting... By offering bonuses against Jedi that are exclusive to BH's, it makes the other professions less viable to fight Jedi (in comparison to BH's)..

well my main is a Jedi my alt is a MBH my wife plays. When you unlock your toon you unlock with becomes your Jedi now. Been that way a good while now.
